Montenegro. Our cruise ship is the one tied at the dock.

Cool cable car ride to this viewpoint.

Below is the town of Kotor.

The town of Kotor once had a mouse/rat problem.

They imported lots of cats.

Problem solved.

Now everyone has cats descendants of those cats as pets.

They have a cat museum recalling that time. Paintings, statues, murals, etc...

This was my favorite...

Spaz decided to have her foal a few weeks early, on my wife’s birthday.  Great morning to welcome a little Filly to the family.

Apparently the ancient Greeks were fans of the scoop tyre.

Ancient Greek construction crane frames a nice modern day sunset.

Pretty bummed that the Acropolis was surrounded by scaffolding.

Jesus, you just gave me flashbacks of the most terrifying bus ride ever....

About 10 years ago we did a cruise around Italy, and then to Kotor Montenegro. Beautiful Country.

BUT, we did a bus tour around the area, that bus tour took us up the switchback road leading up to where you took that picture. It was a nice full size coach bus, but had a manual transmission (I guess most coach busses in Europe are manual trans). The road was so narrow it was basically one way, luckily the vehicle going up has the right of way.

But at every switchback (like 20 of the them it seemed), the turns were too tight so the bus driver had to pull all the way forward (the front of the bus literally over the near vertical cliff), then back up (sometimes several times) so he could get the angle to turn.

When backing up the rear of the bus would be hanging off the cliff, and I am in the window seat on the cliff side just looking at this 6" high brick edge that was all that was stopping us from tumbling down about 1000' cliff. And being a manual transmission, I just visualized him missing the clutch or brake and rolling backwards. I am afraid of heights, so being 10' up in a bus looking down a vertical cliff with only the bus drivers foot pedal action being the difference between life and death... That was a loooong bus ride up that mountain road.

We saw that road.

A nice convertible sports car, or road bike, maybe.

A bus ride ??

No frikkin way.

Been completely amazed at the beauty, villages, architecture, and the locals.

So far Dubrovnik was my favorite.

Venice was crowded.

Athens is pretty dang cool too.

So much history everywhere.

We'll be in Istanbul/Constantinople before too long. Another amazing place with history dating back to pretty much the dawn of modern man.

Would loved to have seen Maranello.

(Ferrari)

Not on "her" itinerary though. 😕

Great photo.

It's been a pretty cool evening sky lately.

Last few nights especially with the crescent moon lining up with Venus, Jupiter, and Mercury.

We've had A LOT of grass fires here this year. An amount that makes you think what the hell is going on.

Anyways,  the red stuff on the hill is fire retardant fro  planes and of course Willow dogs is looking back at me in disgust as we are supposed to be on a walk not taking pictures.
