mike showed he is willing to keep trying and not quit. taking a break to get yer stuff together if needed is not quitting just re-evaluating. regardless...mike needs to clear his mind because i believe he can be up front again and do pretty damn good in sx too...if he clears that head of all the bullshit and replace it with everything moto.
he looked damn good for a few laps at a2 and clearly he can run a top 5-10 pace when he focuses. the 350 still sucks and i think he would still do better on the 450 suzy

if this thread is about him clearing his head, and "finding his edge" again. i hope he does it. but its the most difficult thing to do in motorsports and similar sports like boxing. its very rare. mike has a very big challenge ahead of him to find the mentallity he used to enter the races with. im talking about the drive and confidence he showed when he pulled a podium when he was "the hype" or when he was killing them in the outdoors on the suzuki. not easy to regain your edge once its lost.
2 questions: bobbym, you wish he was still on the suzuki correct....so do you think he would make a better teammate than metcalfe? do you think he would be performing better for suzuki than metcalfe currently is?
mike was a great #2 to reed back when. i never saw or heard of any teammate issues there. and he definitely was a real contender in the outdoors back then. but my question is not based on potential or past showings, but based on taking into consideration his current health and ability. would things be the same if he was the #2 to dungey? would he do any better outdoors than metcalf? or any better than he looked at the usgp last year on the 350? (which was phenominal btw)
But...he looked like a different rider in Anaheim II versus several of the other rounds this season.

I guess we should believe the hype.
tony used to ride mike
Glad to see it.
... anyone notice his new gloves?... Sick!
I think you are seeing a step forward for both Mike and the 350. I hope they keep making these kinds of steps the rest of the season!
or he has some shitty ass riding coaches
Pit Row
He created huge gaps in front of him while faster guys stacked up behind. This certainly was no fault of Mike's, just really unfortunate track design.
When I caught up with Tony last week, he was more excited about the upgrades that was getting done on Mike's bike. So I am glad he was there to see Mike bounce back.
WTH?
For doing his job?
Keep up the good work Mike, you can do it .
To you haters out there: As far as "Haters Gonna Hate"...please, feel free to show us how smart you are by continuing to throw down on those keys!
Let the HATE flow...hell...it'll proll'y jus' motivate the kid.
I'll tell ya this: He seemed a bit more "content" during the track-walk and going into practice (Where he looked WAY better than he has previously).
Me? I wish him, the best. This ain't about last-year...or what he did at Suzuki, etc.
It's about getting his game back and making it about him and his skills.
Hey, Mikey: Good luck.
geeeeeezeee dude.
Just because some one writes something you may perceive as negative, you turn it into HATE?
Chill a little.
And, be realistic.
12th is good. But hey, when you start in 3rd, and fall to 12th, it's kinda sad.
Go take a look at ALL the shit talk around here...
Hell, I'm not jus' talkin' about this thread...I'm thinkin' about some of the insanity I've read in here regarding "the 800".
That's all: Take another gander...I'm not all jacked-up about it, hell, I'm being realisitic.
That's all.
Nice Avi, btw.
Nobody's safe in Southpark.
