$1100 for custom boots seems pretty fair theses days. Ones that are truly custom made to Your feet. I had some orthotics made and they were $400 for just insoles. They made a big improvement though. Got my knees and back better aligned. And I was able to wear almost any shoes that they fit in. After the surgeries I had that removed all of the fat from one of my feet I've had to wear the more cushioned shoes though .I should get a new set of them I worry that I may still be unable to wear them with the way my feet/body is though so I would wanna try out some less expensive options before going and spending money on something that I couldn't wear. I've looked into custom made MTB shoes too. Which I may end up doing if I get back into riding them as much as I used to.

I’ve got some nice caiman Lucchese that are real comfy. Daily work boot in the shop is Bearfoot Kodiak hand made in Fargo. Outside of work I use Vivobarefoot. I tell ya after spending a majority of my time in zero drop barefoot style shoes, slipping on the cowboy boots is real awkward for a bit!
I’ve got Barney Rubble feet, EEs. Like Squatch, I’ve got a severe case of hammertoes. Ever since I discovered “Broad Wide Square” I’ll never go back. Have to be careful with top height also. My right ankle doesn’t bend real well. Can wear a 16” top, that’s what I ride in, but you’re gonna have to give me some time to get my boots on and off!
Trust me, me rolling around trying to pull my right boot off is quite comical!
