Just got new Asics and Rainbow sandals.  If anyone steals my shoes I don’t have to chase them, they’ll do a big circle like a jet ski, I’ll get em when they come back around 😄

My kids just got my wife a pair of rainbow sandals of different height like yours. Did they make you buy 2 pair and throw 1 pair away? Or can you special order that way? Kids bout 2 pair to make the 1 offset pair.

Thanks in advance, TM

They’ll make them custom however you want. $120’ and it takes a couple weeks. My right one is 7/8” higher in the back and 3/8” in the front.  Sam’s shoes in San Clemente did the shoe, $75’ and about the same time frame.

Unless she's a size large and needs a taller left one ?   😜   My right femur wound up an inch shorter after my infection / no union ordeal. I tried an inch taller front to back in the beginning but walking was awkward, when my foot would roll forward the inch was too much at the front, I'd go up and down like pogo stick I guess ? Or like that whack a mole game lol. About the 3rd pair I figured out the 7/8'' - 3/8" combo worked the best.

I bought these after eating shit a few years ago while standing on wet rocks along a river. XTRATUFF Sport deck boots.

They do live up to the name. I’ve had them about 4 years.

Super grippy on wet slick surfaces and, they’re one of the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn.

I should look at some of their skate shoes to see if any would work for MTB shoes.  Right now I have some Five10 that are snug but wearable.

I do want to find some MTB shoes that I can use on clipless pedals though. I got the Five 10 to try and see if I could be comfortable in them since they don't make them big enough I had to get a size smaller than I normally wear. But they have clipless style shoes that I can get in the same size.  I think there were 2 or 3  other brands I found that offered a 15 . I really need a 16 or maybe 17. If anybody knows of any bike shoes that are available in those sizes.  I know that there is a brand that will build me custom shoes, but that's a bit outside of my budget right now.

NB is one of the few brands that offers most shoes in Sasquatch sizing.  I also have  these  that are slowly turning into the shoe I wear everyday. The shoe I posted earlier has super soft foam as the contact area on some of the bottom so it wears quickly on some surfaces. They are getting older now but have held up great other than the bottoms wearing quick. I've had the other versions of the same shoe. Its the Fresh foam More. For a while I had those that I posted along with the trail version. I've destroyed a few of the trail versions wearing them when I should have worn hiking boots.

This set I've had for a couple weeks is still  cushy and super comfortable. But it has what should be more durable bottom/ tread. I don't have any photos I can grab of me wearing them handy so its a generic image.

They do sound like I have a plastic bag inside them if I'm someplace really quite . It's the membrane that makes them waterproof. Its not so loud that its annoying. just a strange sound I've never had with other shoes that had the same membrane materials.  They vent well for a waterproof shoe and my feet are not sweaty at the end of a day wearing them.I have other waterproof boots/shoes that my feet end up wet/damp from sweat at the end of a long day.

The giant shoe that shoe stores used to display, well 90% of the time it's been too small. And one time it happened to be the other shoe  that I was trying to buy.  The entire staff was all looking around to find the missing shoe from the box I was trying to buy. Checking other boxes etc.  And then they found it. It was the ridiculously large shoe on display at the cash register.  It happened to be the only pair they had in my size .

Now I just buy online. Stores pretty much never have my size in stock at all, nevermind in the style and color that I want.

Its funny You should see the size of the boxes VS a standard shoe box. My sister saw one of the old shoe boxes and asked WTF came in it.   Didn't believe that it was just a pair of running shoes until she peeked inside. Her reaction and disbelief were funny.

My niece's and nephew used to put my shoes on with their shoes inside them and walk around. The first time it happened one of them just did it on their own. Then they all wanted to try.

Nope it's only a 16  2E  or 4E  or 17 2E depending on the shoe. My Dr. did tell me I should wear a  bigger size.I have what they call hammer toes, they are always bent and scrunched up.

But my toes have adjusted to life in shoes that are a little too small and I don't want to change that and end up not having any options for MX boots or MTB shoes.  As it is I'm able to wear a wide 15 in some MTB shoes, an Astars makes a 16 that I'm able to squeeze into.

This Xray shows my big toe while I had an infection from a blister. It's also comically big and funny. And that's my " good foot".................

Understand the shoe store display. When I was a kid, “Silva Boots” had one of my father’s 16 EEE on display.

I had  size 14 when I was 14, and back then that was hard to find so for many years I was stuck wearing shoes that were too small. I was at  a Nike store that had one of Shacks shoes on display in his size a 22 or 24 something that I thought was ridiculous . I tried it on to see what it would feel like wearing a shoe that was way too big.    And I was surprised it didn't feel way too big, big enough that I wouldn't wear them though.   So when I found some shoes offered in a 16 I started wearing them. And  found that a 16 EE,16 EEEE or 17EE feels most comfortable most of the time.

I am so glad they are not any bigger.

LOL, i've never been able to position my shifter or brake pedal in a way that was comfortable and that I could still hit them when I wanted and not when I didn't. Tried lowered pegs, the plus 15MM shifter they offer . I was afraid of having one made that was bigger because I worried it would just get stuck on something.

I rode a Stark Varg for 15 or 20 minutes and never felt so comfortable on any other bike. It had a foot brake,  I think for me I would run a hand brake on one if and when I get one.  It was so amazing not having to have my feet positioned to be able to shift. I never really thought about how much that impacted how I had my right foot until riding that Varg.   Maybe the honeymoon would wear off if I had my own. But for me it was the most fun bike. I rode it on some tight trails that I made for MTB's and some more wide open MX track like sections with small jumps.

Cool boots, that's one of the things I get bummed out on. Happens a lot, I'll see some cool looking  shoes that I would like to get. And then find out they don't have my size. And my feet ,back and knees are clapped out and shoes without cushion are super uncomfortable.

Are there any good makers of boots like that that offer a 16 or 17?

I’d look at Anderson Beans, Rios of Mercedes. I’ve got a buddy that makes boots. Draws your foot out and makes the boot to your feet. They’re very, very nice, but start at $1100.

Yeah, I feel you on the shoes. I wear boots everyday and they’ve never been a problem. If I wear Vans all day and spend a ton of time on my feet, I’m limping.

I’m somewhat of a boot whore. Exotics are everyday footwear. What am I going to do, die with a closet full of nice boots?

Now that’s fucking funny! You do know I was married to a Mexican girl?  Have three blue eyed, blonde haired, half Mexican kids?

My Mother re-married a Mexican, Ralph Sandoval. So I speak some Spanglish with the best of ‘em.

It’s kinda hard to say you’re a Cowboy and not like Mexicans. If it weren’t for Mexican Vaqueros, there’d be no Cowboys.

So in essence, nice try, but that’s an off handed compliment.
