I’m picking up a rare one this week, c4 zr1 1993 anniversary edition. Ruby red inside and out as that was the anniversary package colors.

Zr1 is the 4 cam 32 valve lotus designed v8 ripper. 7200 rpm redline. Absolute underrated ripper. 180mph car in 1990!

Show some pics after you pick it up.👍🏻

Will do, it is in need of some of the more common c4 stuff, dry weather seals, headlight gears, small fiddly stuff, and it needs a detail.

But the bones are really really clean, still has the labels on the rims from the factory. It used to be an NCRS car in those higher end shows.

Are there any replacement parts, like headlight gears…for example, that are better or “improved” when compared to the stock parts from back in the day?

Btw, absolutely diggin’ your “Corvette Projects Year Book”.

For the gallery: OB has built…refreshed…restored various “Very Fun Porsches” over the years…many of which left his hands in seriously better shape than he’d found them. 👍🏼

Thanks manny bro.

Yeah they actually do make brass gears instead of the original plastic gears. The rubber is another story - quality rubber that fits so you can still close your doors… $800 for the full kit now a days.

A dollar just doesn’t get you much anymore.

well I got it, replaced rhe headlight gears today, detailed it, took it for a nice cruise:

This engine is incredible. 7200 rpm lotus built v8. Absolute ripper.

It’s way nicer than I figured too. Each hour of detailing revealed just a really nice car. The documentation the car came with is next level. Former NCRS award winning car (full corvette nerd judging competitions) where it was awarded the highest level of praise and scored 100% in multiple showings. All the original paperwork, original window sticker VHS huge phone book sized service manuals and more. Things insane.

Whoever buys this is getting an incredible car. This is the one I would keep if I could. It’s really special.

That sounds like a more than reasonable starting price.  Maybe even a little bit low. What’s the mileage?

47k miles. Kind of funny going through all the judging documents one of them literally says it’s never been a trailer queen and still scored 100 several times lol.

It’s probably about right, maybe a little low, one sold similar shape and miles for 40k but was 2-3 years ago, and as we know everything’s gone up since then.

We were at a local meet up in my town last year. One of the folks is a photographer and took this picture of my corvette.

It’s a 2023 Convertible. Ceramic Grey.

Dude the late model vettes must be insane honestly. The retro ones I’ve driven are plenty for me lol.

👀

Very rare zr1 in this color. Has some super cool period correct mufflers, “power effects” turn of a knob to adjust between 3 settings!

I don’tt think it gets much more 90s than here this side of a lambo lol.

I can put the 19s back on and connect the sway bars pretty rapidly.

It put 688 RWHP down on the engine and 1XXXX on a baby shot of nitrous.

I've always been a Corvette peep. My dad still had his '66 when I was born. Somewhere there's a photo of me as a baby in a small rocker wedged between the seats. It looked just like this one:
