After not being able to ride all winter and spring I finally got back out there yesterday at BPG. This bike is amazing for me and is running absolutely great. Since I stopped using the quick shifter the transmission feels a lot better and hasn’t given me a bit of trouble. I really think both times I had those mid air shifts cause a false neutral when trying to land under power were from the quick shifter and not the actual transmission. Jury is still out, but so far that’s been the case.

I also let my buddy’s pretty quick 21 year old son ride it. He’s currently on a 23 YZ250F. He put 15 minutes on it and came back saying it was the best bike he’s ever ridden. He said the handling and upper end power were noticeably better than his bike. And also he liked the transmission had a much more usable 3rd gear. I came off the same generation bike and have the same feelings.
Unfortunately though another buddy crashed super hard his first session out. Broke his collarbone into 3 pieces and broke 3 ribs. Definitely a sobering reminder of the realities of the sport, regardless of your skill level.
