Junkyard! Who is 404 in that start photo? Can't remember.
I want to say Dan Pepoon, local wick dude but not positive. That is the first turn in one of the years Southwick was run backwards.

Pretty sure it's Tyler Medaglia
Thought so! Great start for him. Canadian legend. Maybe repost that pic when we are 404 days away from 2027 outdoors.

We come to the day where I've used what little AMA outdoor 13's I have so I break one of my own silly and completely unnecessary rules and post pics from assorted Des Nations haha

It occurs to me that this page of this thread pretty much captures my moto shooting life. The Robert pic is from 1971, at my first race, my first moto photos as a 14 year old. Mosier is from 1977, when I faked a pass to hop the fence to the infield at Sears. Tortelli is from 2002 when I got credentials for the first time, and Nelson at Washougal 2016 was my last traveling race before it got to be a bit too much physically to shoot a whole day trekking around a track (although I managed to shoot local at Hangtown a couple more times). Sure have loved my stretch of moto life, and am grateful to have enjoyed it and the generosity and friendship of folks I met through snapping some shots. 😀
