Was there some other event last night that took away the crowd? I thought all 3 of the Anaheim races sold out?

Ddavis? Did you go to the race? How about that epic wave that started in the upper deck in between the Lites and Supercross main? It started like 2 sections from me and it was awesome when it got going around. I also liked the paper airplane contest that started during the intermission... a couple guys did get their paper airplanes to the Supercross track and one guy got his the the start straight. It was hilarious.

The crowd was boo'ing soo loud if you stopped the wave! I wish the riders did it too! That'd be classic!

2nd level appeared to be packed, looked weird on TV. I would rather be up a little higher and be able to see the entire track instead of sitting in front of a triple and not being able to crap.

I've been to at the very least, 2 supercross races a year since 1999. Last night the crowd wasn't all the great or really into it compared what it used to be like. Everyone did come alive during the main though (and why not?!?!). There were also a lot of empty seats like already mentioned. I'm hoping the San Diego round is better, but I'm not holding my breath.



The wave WAS cool (including the booing haha).



That paper airplane that made it to the start straight was epic! Then the whole crowd booed when one of the track workers picked it up! That was classic.



Honestly I could care less if if the crowd is good. The racing was good so I was happy.

That wave was epic. It was hilarious when the outfielders didn't keep it going and got booed. That's what I call teamwork. Priceless stuff.

The stadium sucked balllllsss though. I absolutely hated that joint. It had one TINY "escalator" and two medium sized elevators. All behind home plate in the stadium. Think about that for a second. Everybody in that place had to file into those to get in or out.

The parking lot over looking the city and sunset was bitchin however.

We all care if we are fans of the sport! I would think a full stadium would indicate things are at least OK in the heartland, I suppose that's not the case, At least the 20K that were there were into the "Wave"

Dodger Stadium holds more people by about 12 to 14 thousand so it might have actually had more spectators than Anaheim 1 even though there were empty spots.

As far as the 3 Anaheims selling out that hasn't happened since 06 0r 07. Anaheim 1 hasn't even sold out the last few years. It's sad to see as we used to sell out 60-80,000 seat stadiums for sx. It could be the economy or it could be Live Nation-Feld and what they have done to the racing the last decade.

I know I left Phoenix pretty disappointed with what it has become and I've been to at least one SX each year since 83. The tracks suck and don't make for good racing and the racing itself is just too short now. I thought I'm just getting older but I can't tell you how many other people I talked to last week who had the same experience. I hope Feld figures out how to make it better. Looking forward to the Glen Helen GP and Pala.

I saw lots of empty seats too. Many people stand instead of sit, but still, there were lots of empty sections.

I wish there was more racing. Take 5 riders out of the heats, 4 out of the semis and 2 from a LCQ's like before.

Poor LA.

The supposed center of the motocross world with twice the population of Atlanta, and yet they can't sell half the seats that are filled in the Georgia dome.

Two things that might help,

Bring back one punch and simucast in spanish over a FM radio frequency.

That might also have something to do with the fact that we have 5 SX's here in California, With Vegas and Phoenix being very close too.

That would help but our weather seems to hurt us too, east coast, mid-west shitty weather make people go to events. When it's beautiful 70's & 80's in So Cal, hard to convince people to go to a stadium, open or not. Plus we do have the highest unemployment rate here and it shows. Parking fees of $20 or $100 doesn't help.
