The trans vents up through that PV chamber and then out the vent hose on the cover. So, trans oil gets up in there, to some extent. Also, you can replace the o-rings on the PV center flap to prevent engine spooge from seeping out that way. Clean everything up good in there and the o-rings are also supposed to have grease on them to help them seal and minimize stiction. Also, make sure the trans vent hose never gets pinched or kinked. This can happen up higher where it goes into the frame. If this happens, the trans pressure can force oil out the seal at the bottom of the PV cover.
