Do any of you know the status of the monument to Carlsbad that was supposed to happen overlooking the track near Dogleg Brewing? There was a "Future Site of..." sign there last time I was home in early 2022, but I haven't heard anything about it actually being built.

I was wondering the same thing about the monument. They were selling bricks for it but then it all stopped, someone said something about R2R taking over the fundraising issues within the group doing it?
Not happening They refunded all monies back to the ones who donated to the memorial.
So I bought a T shirt and stickers for something that never got done ? Here's the album from 2021 when they were trying to fund it. (Don't know if you need FB to see the pics)

What a great showing! I brought a framed poster my dad gave me from the 1985 USGP. Broc Glover was there and was kind enough to sign it for us.
The coolest part was Broc’s memory of the race. He said he holeshotted that moto and was already out of the picture, but he still knew exactly where his line was. He even pointed out the only tire track on the groomed track, just to the left of the #2. Pretty cool.
