What's with the Dunlop guy and the hats?

This has been done for years in motorsports. They used to call it the hat dance in NASCAR because they would put 10 different hats on the winner in victory circle for sponsor photo ops.

It's almost as if many people around here have never seen a motorsports race beyond SX/MX.

Jeff Emig used to thank Bridgestone every time he got on the mic. (pretty sure it was Emig). Riders must have had good Bridgestone contracts back in the mid-late 90s to early 2000s because you heard it a lot.  

I think Villipoto also thanked his tire sponsor

michelin is a better tire all around anyway in my opinion. Kudos to dunlop for getting to the front in their market, but theyre just not "the best" tire

I don’t know about MX tires, but Michelin makes an awesome car tire.
