2001 cr125 HELP!!!

I'm going to soon be getting a 2001 cr125 and I'm a little too short, i need to lower the rear shocks like 1-2" and i need a rear shock lowering linkage kit or some thing under like say $100 or so, i REALLY need help

Take the seat to an upholstery guy and he can shave the foam 2 inches.

If not shave as much as you can... It will be a lot cheaper then buying new linkage to lower the bike.. Unless you find one on ebay...

Cut the seat, use a sander to shape it like a step seat (I have a 5'1" Daughter that races full size bikes).
Kouba link will lower it 1.5 in. less than $200 invested -2.5 to 3 in.

yeah i'm 5'1" and i'm not done growing yet =) i got another 10 years or so to grow...but the bike is as big as my dad's rm250, all they did was just use 250 frames and put the smaller motor in it lol *cough*cheapos*coughDry

You can also adjust the rear shock ride-height, but you'll lose some suspension travel.

You can lower the ride hight by putting a spacer in the shock and droping the forks in the clamps.

still need the link!!!

umm i'm going to be trading a ttr125 for this cr125, and i put a procircut pipe on the bike (ttr125, now reffered to as "the bike") with the proper jetting. So my question is: do i need to take off the jettings and replace them with the stock ones if on "the bike" i put the STOCK pipe on, will it affect the bikes. or will it just like help it? i need this question answered a.s.a.p

Dude, you don't need to bump this every couple of hours. Patience grasshopper.

You can also have the sub-frame shortened by a competent welder, or I'm sure there are shops/companies that have a shortening service.

I would just back the spring off to the maximum length the manual states and drop the forks in the clamps, You don't need no stinkin link. All kinds of short kids riding them bikes had to stand on pieces of wood on the starting line. Get out and ride enough BS.

Are you selling the bike? The seller makes a bill of sale not the buyer. I would recommend having the suspension lowered internally by a competent suspension shop.

You better get something written on paper signed by both people, some type of written document! I don t want to see you on Judge Judy in 6 months LOL! With vin numbers, and what the trade involves, trust me cover your ass with documents,

DUDES i got the bike!!!....with my boots I'm on my tippy toes. so what we're probably going to do is:
lower seat (cut it)2-3 inches
lower forks like 1"
soften spring 1" or so
and if all that fails get a kouba link for it which is $140

i can tippy toe it like one leg way over lets say the right leg holding me up, and the left leg is on its calf, so i can fit, but i'm on my tippy tippy toes
