I don't know if this is against the rules or something, so I am going to ask for forgiveness rather than permission.
I've been working on an app idea and I really am aiming to reduce the friction for riders to find a track/ohv location to ride (stopping the archaic "call before you haul" nonsense) and providing a really simple way for track owners to provide updates in real-time to riders (not this "hey post to IG stories and hope they see it" bs)
Does anyone here own a track or know an owner? I'd really like the chance to chat with them to learn more about the experience of owning a track. I hypothesize that there's an opportunity to reduce some small digital maintenance costs to track owners while providing them a direct connection to fans of their race track.
Lemme know...
Reach out to John at Cal City MX or The Reynolds family that run Honolulu Hills. Those are probably the two best guys I can think of for you to reach out to.
Thanks dude. Funny enough, these are the two most "local" tracks to me in ventura
I noticed the Ventura so I figured they were good ones to suggest.

DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
This is an awesome idea!
Not dismissing your idea, maybe people will find value, but what are the difficulties and or limitations to recording a 15 second message on a machine?
Some human is going to have to input data somewhere whether it's an answering machine or a website.
Not a whole lot, timing-wise, for the track owner, but how do people GET that information? Everyone HAS TO CALL, or GO TO INSTA, SEARCH THE TRACK, CLICK THE TRACK, FIND THE STORIES, LOOK FOR THE STORY THAT SAYS INFO
Now, what if rider wakes up at 6:30am, looks at phone, notification says "track closed"
That doesn't sound like a better experience?
Or even better, what if that rider wakes up and there's a notification, "first 50 bikes through the gate get $10 off the gate fee" ?
Homie immediately disliked my response

I didn't. I don't use those except for the occasional thumbs up. I'll tell you if I dislike something, I don't do it anonymously.
It sounds like a good idea, I guess I just didn't fully understand how it works.
Here's a track you can contact that might be interested.
