A potentially innocent person — ‘I didn’t do it, I can’t be bothered fighting it but I must reiterate I did not do it, I had no knowledge of it and whoever did it should face the full extent of not just race adjudication but law enforcement.’

A definitely guilty Toby Price — ‘like OMG, they didn’t even have evidence to the level that I would deem appropriate when punishing me for my actions. It’s been supes tough for me guys’

As a fellow Finke Desert Race competitor, he was apparently known around Alice Springs to use pre running to create cheater lines… while not at the level of this it says a lot about his character

“Cheater lines”

Oh, the stories I could tell about Baja pre running prior to 2010. I was personally on numerous recon missions with colored tape and marker paint in tow. The GOAT of Baja was notorious for finding “creative” lines, which included pulling down other found lines and redirecting lines. We would cover our tracks by shuffling the boot prints away and always walking to a spot to keep wheel marks out of sight. The VCPs changed the game a bit.

Let’s not conflate things here. Pre running is all about finding advantages, and always has been.

Seems like this is getting blown out of massive proportion. No bikes would have been compromised from what I gather.

Seems weird he would do that? Must be more to the story.

So, you’re condoning cheating?
