I would definatly look into it.

Have someone who knows about bikes look at it for you... The last thing you want to do is buy a bike (no matter how good it looks most times) that needs 500 dollars in replacing parts.

Now is a good time to buy because they are very cheap because it is the end of the season.

When you get your bike, watch this video closely to learn the proper way to ride a dirt bike

he is showing great throttle control and manages the bike in the air very well

Grow a pair and get whatever is available, only flesh wounds? Hardly kid it can be life changing and it can happen in the blink of an eye. Get a bike you can learn on and grow out of, then graduate to something bigger. Two stroke 80's, 100's and 125's are not begginer bikes, yes you could ride one but not the way there meant to be ridden( hard and fast ) XR 100, TTR 125 great begginer bikes, use your head and don't rush into getting something you'll regret later and won't have fun on.

Bro i like to go fast and i like a challenge, my dad started out on a rm 450 when he was 15 because thats the only thing available, and i have to work for my money, and why buuy multiple bikes when you can get one that you can have for a while without growing out of?

Dude, honestly, who cares if you start on a mx bike. In fact I highly reccomend it based off of what you said.

Before someone says it is so dangerous to start on a mx bike and you will get hurt DONT DO IT! I have never even rode a motorcycle (I did have some experience mountain biking) and when I got on my kx100, sure I stalled it a few times, but did I just loop out and dump the clutch? no. I was careful, I hope you have enough sense to not give it some nice throttle if you do get a higher power bike, but do I think you are going to crash if you hopped on a 125 (being careful)? NO. I ran my bike in an open place to learn the shifting and everything before doing and terrain.

But yeah, if I bought a ttr125 like many people told me to at first, I would be GREATLY regretting it right now. I am so glad I didn't listen to a lot of the people that told me to do that and just got the kx100. I have a bike I can use for 2-3 years and it really never was too much for me to handle.

Riding a motocross bike isn't taming a wild beast like most people think for beginners (maybe a 450)
