I hadn’t realized until today that Deegan could very easily clinch at St Louis next weekend. If he wins, Kitchen is eliminated regardless of where he finishes and Anstie would have to finish 4th or better at a showdown to not be eliminated. Max has only finished better than 5th twice this season and neither was against riders from both coasts.

I hadn’t realized until today that Deegan could very easily clinch at St Louis next weekend. If he wins, Kitchen is eliminated regardless of where he finishes and Anstie would have to finish 4th or better at a showdown to not be eliminated. 6 in a row will do that for you especially when the only guy near your pace can't make it 2 turns without crashing

For those curious about other outcomes.

Deegan finishes 2nd: Anstie needs 7th or better, Kitchen needs 3rd or better

Deegan finishes 3rd: Anstie needs 9th or better, Kitchen needs 4th or better

Deegan finishes 4th: Anstie needs 11th or better, Kitchen needs 6th or better

After that it’s all a one point slide so Anstie would have to stay within 7 positions behind Deegan or better and Kitchen would need to stay within 2 positions behind Deegan to not get eliminated.
