Huh?

I’m not for them necessarily, and definitely wouldn’t be for them being used for race strategy at all. But riders wouldn’t really have any recourse if they were told through a radio to get out of the way.

The blue flag system is broken, the flaggers aren’t aware of what/when to flag so the riders largely ignore them. Just last week the flag was being waved as the leaders went by with no lappers in sight.  I don’t think anyone considers that it might be difficult for some flaggers to see the track well depending where they are stationed so following leaders as they move through lappers might be challenging and I doubt they are well compensated so the dedication might not be as serious as we wish.

The system should be electronic imo. We are using lights on the track in place of flaggers, imo this could be further developed to include blue lights for lappers and a light on the handlebars or front fender.

I think it would only hurt because it would just distract not give insight. The guys being lapped I am sure already know they are being...

I actually agree- and It could cause more harm than good. Nobody wants to hear something in their ear milliseconds before committing to a gnarly rhythm. Nobody would like that. Notice how the RIDERS aren't begging for this? It's not nascar. Look at what happened to RV when he realized he forgot the joker lane at MEC, and that was just losing focus on his own...or james when the photographer ran in front of him.. My point is, it doesn't take much to throw off your concentration.

When did JT coin the term Echo Chamber?

The idea that it's a problem when a group confirms each others' similar opinions has been a topic for likely as long as humans have been sharing discussions.  John Stuart Mills wrote about it in the 1860's, but he referenced back to ancient Greek philosophers.

People on here are like Furries, they think their ideas are normal/good because they all agree with each other. They don't look beyond because that would take some critical thinking.

Maybe that's why they want rider coms?  They need an authority to tell them what to do in their lives, so from that experience perspective, having an authoritative voice would benefit everyone, including dirt bike racers.
