Check this picture I found this morning going through some. I took this at Byron motor sports park in 1987 NSR on his pants. I just asked Eric Gorr about it he just said it must be a 86. It's not I think it's a 87 250 with a drum rear brake, because of the brake arm. He also did said It looks like Greg Randa.

Actually looks like a 500
Looking at shroud, the head pipe looks swept back and silencer.
There were quite a few Byron fast guys running a floating rear brake carrier when rear disc brakes first appeared.
Eric just sent me this.
"That may have been a rider named Mike Ruffalo he was district 17 #2 and parts manager for NSR"

I bought my 1st mx bike on 11-18-89 on my birthday. My dream bike 87 cr125 with a NSR port job for hill climbing . In 90 I rode deep sand tracks around town. Seaking big air I found it on a ski hill. That had a ski flying at 1 time. I trespassed & made a cool track . The bike ripped the 800+ foot steep part . I jumped it going up & down & from the side. The engine matched the ski hill perfectly. Most fun I ever had riding . I stacked 2&3 base gaskets to get more top , it still had a great hit & Strong mid pull.
