125s can't keep up with a 250 4 stroke but that don't mean they ain't fun to ride!!
So some of the racers at the REM Saturday motocross (Headed up by Randy Skinner) have restarted the 125 class's
Dust off that 125 sitting in the back of the garage, or pick up one of the $1,000 125's from Craig's List and show up! All years are OK. I'm building a 1987 cr125 so I can run it at the vintage races too.
Come out and reconnect with a Very fun part of the past.

How many 125's are showing up so far?

I may head south for a Socal riding week this winter and I'l love line up on my 125 at Glen Helen. Hopefully this class will grow and be successful.

Last week the races were held on a Sunday because of the new year and it was a very small turn out, but there were 9 125s and I was told that the race was a big hit and the most fun that they have had racing in a long time. Dirt Bike's Ron Lawson pick up a 03 kx125 for under a grand and a few day later had it on the track as-is and had a great time.
So not to bad for a warm up race. The thing is now you need to get a cheep 125 before the guys on craigslist find out that there's a market for them again.

the Racer X Vet series round at Aztalan had a +30 125 class.
28 bikes on the line and I think it was the most fun I had racing all year.
Hopefully more tracks pick up the idea.

I'm also around 215-220 and 6'3".. still a ton o fun to ride a 125
