I have to agree, the World GP's are over looked in the States and I do not undersatnd why you would not want to watch an MX series that is on/or above the level of the US Nationals.

RTE (eire or ireland) available in northern ireland with an ariel used to show either GPs or SX but don''''''t see SX it on their schedule. CH5 hav'nt showed SX for some years now. just have to wait for utube or might try the torrent mentioned above. if we all got organised and wrote or emailed CH5 they may listen if enough of us bothered

I have spend some time in the GP paddock press rooms last few seasons and have to tell you that the GP press is not watching the AMA Nationals that much either.
Last season, most of the time it was just me, the Bulmer kid and mam/dad/Seb Pourcel watching the 1st moto Alli sport coverage of the AMA Nationals. We could watch it Saturday nights in the press area because of the time difference.
Some journo's still working would catch a glimp or ask who was winning but that was about it.

Well it seems that the email I had received from ESPN was incorrect as ESPN & ESPN HD will be showing A1 Supercross in the UK as follows:

MX2 (I hate calling this class Lites - stupid name, but I will save that for a further thread!) 3pm Thursday13th Jan.
MX1 4pm Thursday13th Jan.

For you Euro's, go to Twitter and watch twmxdotcom's twitter page, they have the guy sitting there in the press-box, he does a great job and does it per lap, serious you can see it all through his typing.

Thanks for the heads up.

Whatever I do I know Im not gonna stay awake until 6am again and miss a planned days practice, which is what I did on Saturday night/morning!

I'll be setting an alarm this weekend thats for sure!

Can you get twitters to your phone/cell? that way you can sleep and catch up when you wake up, by reading all the twitters, or go to their website when you wake up, just a suggestion, it'll all be there when you wake up regardless. Just don't come here 1st so you don't find out who won.

No I'll be watching the live web feed like the saturday just gone. Its a little jittery but its worth it.

I follow twitter also and I would guess that there were 500+ tweets during the races from the guys that I follow, it was a busy night.

I stayed up right through to 6:30am, that will catch up with me this week.

You can't beat watching it live, even if it is on the laptop.

I think I will rely on Slicknick610's torrents and ESPN for the rest of the season.

I think I know what is it. Countries like Australia, South Africa, France, New Zealand and many others are into America, and many are not into Europe. It's as much a language thing as anything.

America makes everything look prettty cool and we Euro supporters need to start pulling our finger out and making the GP series look as cool as it actually is.

It's possible, but everyone involved in the sport in Europe needs to work hard and give our riders the publicity they deserve and the riders have to work with us.

It's easy to enjoy an interview with an America racer because they speak perfect English and they are brought up with all the razamataz (probably spelt wrong), so they are interesting. Euro's are not into "the show" so they are a little quiet and less open in their opinions, plus most of them are speaking a language that isn't their own. Believe me having lived in Holland for 20 years I still can't show my true personality speaking the dutch language.

Look for some big changes with that in 2011. I know YS want to improve the image of the riders and I back that 100%.

Give it a few years and it might just have changed enough for the American public to enjoy the GP riders more, the deserve that.

I think we all (in europe) got a bit tired of the rockstar attitude of some of the AMA riders. Seems to have settled down now, but if I read that some of the leading American journalists couldn't even get hold of the leading AMA riders leading into Anaheim I, that is just weird. That is one thing that will close the gap between GP coverage and AMA coverage. Exposure riders, exposure.....
