What is the routine between rounds for a factory bike?
Are they framed every round?
Suspension rebuilt?
How many rounds do they do per engine, in good conditions?
I have always been curious what stuff gets replaced, what stuff gets saved for the practice bikes and what stuff hits the garbage can.
I would expect them to be framed every round.
If you were paid to stay at home and wrench your own bike, you would do the same, its a hour to strip , and half a day to rebuild it , what else you gonna do. ?

Big teams, framed every round. Engines in SX…depends on class and build spec. 2-4 races. I’d say 2-3 for most. If a 250 tema hs something volatile going on, maybe swap each weekend to check, but not much is actually getting replaced in there.
Suspension should be every few rounds but some riders change spec so much early in the season that it gets rebuilt every round to change the spec. Or gets serviced on race day to toss another spec in.
Chains are typically every race, but get taken home for practice bikes. Some riders are very sensitive about seats, some aren’t.
Who steals all the parts that end up for sale on Vital a few years down the road? I remember reading during the 90”s Factory Honda would replace the stators & CDI”s on the Cr125 before every race…. Professional125,
can you confirm? And here I am still using the original parts on my 93😂
When a bike is framed are all then bearing replaced?
It would be cool to see a list of parts and the amount of hours they get used before replacement too.
