Earbuds

I use the $10 Gummie brand you can get from any discount chain.
Anybody try the high dollar earbuds? I'm not talking about full on headphones, but earbuds you cram inside your ear to use in places like the gym.
I see some out there for $60 - $100 for freakin earbuds. No way there is that much difference.
Is there?

I haven't found a set of ear buds I can wear for more than about 5 minutes without having to take them out. And for that 5 minutes I can't get them to stay in and have to constantly keep putting them back in. Here's how I solved the problem:

I picked up a black set of these at Walmart for about 12 bucks and I absolutely love them! I don't know if they produce the best sound quality but they are plenty good enough for my needs and they are very comfortable to wear and they don't block out other sound so you can hear other things going on around you (which I like). I suppose that would be bad if you are looking to use them as loud sound blockers in addition to music.

The really nice part is that I can slip my helmet right over them and I now wear them every time I ride my street bike and I wore them on our last Colorado dirt bike trip (handy for all day rides). I like them so much I bought a second pair and carry them with me in case the first pair goes bad or the wire breaks. So far that hasn't happened and I've been abusing them daily for almost a year now and they are still going strong. Did I say I like these things? Smile

Actually these are probably the ones I have:

The model number is wore off and I started leaving my new set at home so I don't know for sure. Amazon has them for 5 bucks:

I am on my second set of Bose, and also have a pair of Kickers best. Kickers are the better of the two.

The only issue that I have with using good buds, is that they require more power, so you will lose some volume compared to the standard apple earbuds.

I have a set of Klipsh (can't remember the model) and they're incredible. There's definitely a difference between average ones and real good ones.

I have two sets of Klipsch speakers. La Scalas and KG4s.

my buddy is trying to sell me on Klipsh.
I should borrow his for a workout (is that gross to borrow earbuds?) and see if there is a difference worth the huge price mark up.
I sometimes use SwiMP3 when I swim. Not bad, but gives me a headache about half way through. I tried a pair similar to what Robert uses and they kept falling out of my ears every time I came off the wall.

Apples ear buds suck. It's a trick to wedge them into your ear and they project the sound out excessively so other people hear noise when someone uses them.

I'm down with the $10-20 ones, but my primary use is while working out. For that I use in ear versions of what Void posted. The hooks keep the phones on my head.

I have a set of radio ear muffs I use while on the tractor or lawn mower and I can plug my MP3 player into that.
