Hi All! Thanks in advanced for any input.

I just had my first issue with my 23 YZ450f over the weekend and I have yet to start diagnosing, I have yet to deal with an issue like this on a modern EFI bike so i thought i would check with you all to see if I'm on the right track or not. Trying to avoid buying expensive parts and it not fix the issue.

What Happened - Luckily i was trail riding, but the bike just suddenly died (as if it ran out of fuel which it did not) I was able to get it to start again after turning over a few seconds, i rode for another 5-10 seconds and same thing, would not start after this. There were no bad noises so i suspect it to be a fuel pump or similar. Any suggestions on where i should start / or any ways to test if it would be the fuel pump? Injector? or anything else i am overlooking? Fuel pumps aren't cheap, so want to be certain before spending the money.

23 YZ450f with about 110 hours on it. I did top end and timing chain at exactly 100. Im going to start pulling it apart tonight to make sure that its not the way any  any of the wires / sensors / plugs were routed (I'm confident that's not the case but do need to confirm)

Any suggestions are appreciated, trying to get it back in action without waisting too much time or money.

First thing I'd try is a new spark plug.

Then pressure test the fuel pump.

That'll help narrow it down.

I just came here to say that I figured it out in case it may help anybody in the future. It was the kill switch! Unplugged it and it started right up. Had a little moisture in it and dried it out and works fine now.

Thank you!
