how close are they in size to say alpinstars? i wear a size 8 tech 6 and the boots ready for replacement i was thinking about sidi crossfires of=r the sg10s or the gaerne reacts anyone?>

my son went from Tech 7 to the Gaerne G reacts and loves them. I would say order a half size bigger on the Gaerne.

nope! gaernes run bigger than sidi's or alpinestars. i've owned sg10, sg12, crossfire ta and tech 10's. i'd go a half to whole size smaller in the gaerne or same size as your tech 8 in the sidi. buy the crossfires, they're way better, but don't buy white because they discolor.

My Crossfire TA havent discolored a bit. Best boot you can buy, period.

I usually wear a size 10.5 in a sneaker. Earlier this year I bought Gaerne SG 12's in a size 10 and they fit great. In my opinion, since A stars have been made somewhere other than Italy, they have suffered in quality (have two pair in the garage size 11). I absolutely love my Gaerne's!! Hope that helps.

alpinestars are still made in italy. quality is good, but not great, i agree. fit is very subjective tho.
i think i'd have liked my sg12's if i'd had a size smaller. a little clunky in the toe, i thought.

I've found the Astars to be much narrower than the G's. My foot is wide and I can't fit them in a A'star in the correct length. To me they seem to fit similar in length.

IMO G12,G10 s run a lil big, A stars true to size, TCX and SIDI a lil bit small!

The only Alpinestars still made in Italy are for the sponsored riders. The over the counter boots are made in either Croatia or Slovenia. Its been that way for several years now. They have lost quality in doing so IMO.

I wear a 10.5 shoe and I have worn the Gaerne sg10 and now just bought the G React size 10. They fit great!

Hi All...

With regards to sizes in Alpinestars | Sidi | Gaerne Boots they do all vary depending upon the type of Boot you buy Smile

For example...

- Alpinestars Tech 8/10's have the inner bootie system so we find customers size-up to accomodate this.

- With Gaerne SG10's we have also found people go up a size for comfort

- Sidi's don't make a UK10 only a 10.5.

With most boots your best bet is to contact the dealer and ask the best fit for you Smile As a guideline tip though we have found customers more than often get the right fit by running with your Euro Size as the comparison!
