BEWARE OF THIS GUY - I do not know who he is, but this guy copied WORD FOR WORD his request from The real firepolicemx.com team proposal for sponsorship. He appears to be a one man operation, not a "Team" as he is leading people to believe. The real Firepolicemx.com team has been active in the So Cal motocross scene for years, they hold a National series every year, they have a West Coast Lites SX team and they are active in doing non-charitable fund raisers and activities.

He may be a racer, but I know for a fact he did not have permission to use the words from the real Firepolicemx.com team sponsorship proposal. I do not want to see anyone misled and i certainly think everyone needs to know this guys has absolutely no connection to the real Firepolicemx.com team that is being sent to New York to race the World Fire Police games next year.
Seems kind of like those calls you get every year around Christmas asking you to buy tickets to the Firemans ball....

He prolly just copied the stuff word for word ,because it was easy,or someone helping him did it.Sometimes people don't understand that it is not cool to copy other peoples stuff without permission.
Maybe you should try calling him ?
I'm sure the guys at RacerX know him also.

Looks like he is looking for support to race it.

Him or someone else copied "WORD FOR WORD a request from The real firepolicemx.com team proposal for sponsorship".
And they are using it in their promotion for this event,to get support.

Believe me, this is not something I wanted to see discussed in public, but messages have been left for the guy (He does not return the calls or pick up) and the email address he listed on RacerX is no good.
Bottom line is that the FirePoliceMX.com Team which is representing USA in the World Olympic games has been fortunate to acquire sponsors like FMF. AXO, Rockwell Timekeepers and Pole Position Raceway as well as some very generous non moto sponsors - JYG Concrete, Cirque Du Soleil, South Coast Fire Equipment and Thorogood Boots
This guy is not a team member, he is not operating on behalf of FirePoliceMX.com. he was not given permission to use any of text from the teams sponsor proposal nor has he ever asked to use any or part of the FirePoliceMX.com teams sponsor proposal.
Truthfully, "I didn't know any better" won't really fly on this one. At the very least he's just lazy, but to copy and use someone else's intellectual property WORD FOR WORD with out their permission is pretty down low.
FirePoliceMX.com has been around a long time. They have an excellent reputation and a lot of people have contributed to the outstanding reputation they have earned. This guy seems to be taking advantage of that reputation by using the FirePoliceMX.com Sponsor Proposal verbiage to fund his own personal desire to race in the World Games.
and in my book, that just plain ain't right for the obvious reasons...

Extreme poor judgment maybe?
Not trying to brag or anything, but as a 25 year member of the Police / Fireman community, most, with very few exceptions, Policemen and Fireman hold themselves to a level of integrity much higher than the average person.
If the guy is legit, I just can't believe how he could think it would be OK to use someones sponsor proposal for his own use with out even asking for permission. I have a hard time with this based not only on the exceptional people I have been lucky enough to have served with in this community, but because his actions defy the laws of basic common sense...
Kinda crazy, but with so many people accessing the information on the net you can see how quickly one person appearing to be someone else can effect the others reputation. Just want to make sure and keep the reputation of the people involved with FirePoliceMX intact.

I was willing to accept the story that my "Friend" did it with out my permission or knowledge (Not sure how someone who has contributed to RacerX before has a "Breaking News" story written in first person and submitted and accepted to RacerX without the person who allegedly wrote it knowing about it) but come to find out the guy contributes and his written articles to Florida Trail Riders Magazine as well.
Sure enough, he posted his request at FTR too. Same exact words he ripped off from FirePoliceMX.com. The only thing is, I had to do some snooping to find it. He posted it on December 17th and after being contacted by FirePoliceMX.com he removed it. I found it in the cached memory of the web.

At the very least, Kirk is guilty of letting the guy who ripped off the Sponsor Proposal text from FPMX post in Kirk's name to Kirk's Facebook account, Twitter, Kirk's Blog and to the Florida Trail Riders web page in Kirks' name (All paces the stolen text showed up at)
Maybe it's just an overzealous 'Friend" and I want to believe no "Fireman" would do such a thing, but after reading his "Motocross Expense Budget" you got to ask - Who are you kidd'n buddy? - $17, 580.00 for one race?
I am not even sure that the entire Fire Police MX Team of twenty one riders being sent to New York from Cali has a budget cost that is even remotely close to that amount.
Maybe the guy just lost his mind for a second and it's out of character for him.
But there sure are a lot of maybes...
I gave Ed (the guy who runs FPMX) your email DC. Hopefully he will contact you. I think it would be nice if the real FPMX Team got some exposure on RacerX so as not to be confused with Kirk's personal requests for support. Ed is not much at self promoting, but I can tell you for sure that Ed, as well as a lot of others involved with FPMX, pour their heart and soul into running a top notch race series that has a reputation of being a great group of people.
Ed and the Team intend to show up at the World Police Fire Games in New York and represent USA in a professional manner and when Ed is involved, you can bet he will pull through and make us all proud with the style and grace he is known for.
As a racer who has been racing with FPMX for over ten years now, maybe I am a little defensive when it comes to someone stealing from FPMX. I know the guys at FPMX are willing to put this to rest as long as it doesn't happen again, so wish us all luck in August at the World Games.
