The Texas spring nats are biggies too. Used to be Lake Whitney and Mosier Valley, then it was Whitney/Oak Hill, this year it's Mill Creek or Freestone, then Oak Hill. Not sure where the top guys will go (Mill Creek or Freestone).

Taking your "hose" across the country? ...sorry, couldn't resist.

I heard someone say branson was a cool low key am race that was cool to attend. Never been to any though I would love to go to lorettas.

GOTSTA KEEP YOUR HOSE HAPPY......2011 HOSE tour! Lucky Date Winners to be announced! LOL

I was looking at the 2 Texas rounds and they are back to back with each other. If we can make both it would make the trip more worth while.

Define "must attend".....

Do you mean as a spectator or as a rider trying to get the attention of folks that can land them a good ride?

If it is the attention getting part then you need to get to all of them.

I hear Kawasaki gets irritated with top kawi racers who don't attend KROC at raceway park in New Jersey.

Loretta Lynns is the only must do am. event if you are hunting down support.

Mammoth is a cool west coast event. World Mini's is overrated and generally a west coast event.

Mini o's is a nice season ender for the east coast riders.

Ponca is cool but you take a chance screwing up your loretta's.

Oak Hill is a fun race. My kids really enjoyed it.

This year we will do the daytona am supercross then mill creek, but only because I don't feel like driving to Texas if I don't have to. After that its lorettas qualifiers and regionals.

i would venture a guess that it will depend upon which coast they are from. The factory supported guys will go where they are told.

Ponca was always my favorite.

It's too bad Lake Whit. is shut down, that was a "must hit" race for sure.

Loretta's was pretty fun, woulda been more fun without the stress of racing against Hill, Alberston and all those guys.

Oak Hill is one of the funnest tracks I've ever ridden.

Cycle Ranch is another fabulous place to ride.

March - Texas Two Step

The March nationals (Texas Two-Step) enter into a new era this coming March since Lake Whitney closed. Make no mistake about it, Tony Miller and the Freestone County Raceway staff will no doubt provide an excellent event to uphold the Texas March nationals tradition. Of course Oak Hill will be hosting the GNC International Motocross Final (GNC). The GNC will be on it's 35th year!!!!

The GNC started out in the Houston Astrodome, then moved to Lake Whitney, then moved to Mosier Valley, then finally on to Oak Hill in 2005. There is so much rich-history with the double-barrel March nationals in Texas... Tony Miller and Freestone are committed to keeping the Texas tradition alive.

Hope to see many of you here!

if its business your looking for I would suggest some of the AM events during the national weekends. 'dilla has well over 1000+ riders every year at their event. most of which are not the pro amatuers that are at LL but the buying public average joe racers....Seems like great exposure but you may have to ask permission to get in to vend....

Kawasaki isn't paying bonuses at Oak Hill this year. kind of sucks the schedule is changing, but I guess change is good.

The west has it's few nationals in world mini, dodge and mammoth.

The east KROC, mini o's, Baja brawl and the new national in Alabama.

All in all, plenty of series and nationals on both coast.

Did Mill Creek replace Whitney or did Freestone? I've heard both, and they are the same week.

The issue of Pickle I saw at MiniO's had both Freestone AND Mill Creek the same week, right before Oak Hill. I got the impression from the ad that Mill Creek was the replacement for Whitney.

Gotcha! Mill Creek is the Alabama race. I did hear something in the Engine Ice booth at Lorettas that Mill Creek was the replacement for Whitney.
