Interesting track placements for the annual MX Sport Money Grab.
Mid-East Area Qualifier at Fast Farms in Altamont, TN between Nashville and Chattanooga on May 16-17 with the Regional at Red Bud in Michigan just 2 weeks later.
BUT, the SOUTHEAST has it's regional at Muddy Creek a week after the Fast Farms qualifier and that's actually north of Fast Farms.😂. Gotta give everyone multiple regions to try to qualify in so the entry fees keep flowing to the coffers.
In case anyone needs it

Interesting Mesquite and Glen Helen get area qualifiers in two different regions LOL
Gotta double those entries for each weekend! Mo entries, Mo money!🙄

Yeah it’s called super areas. It’s wild. One weekend gets you qualified into 2 regions. They run all the classes in 1 day then do it all again the next day. I don’t think very many tracks could get through it in one day. Let alone 2 days in a row!! Also significantly lower turnout than say a LLQ at fast farms I’m sure. But the super areas do have the biggest turnout cause everybody knows they can go to 1 weekend & qualify for 2 regionals.
Also what’s crazy is I remember when all the regionals used to be in 1-2 weekends. Couldn’t do more than 2 regionsz
Realistically, you could hit 4 regionals. Muddy creek, swan, Red Bud , LTM! Wonder if that’s on purpose so people can double up ? Or call it double, double up & hit all 4?
hmmmmm
Michigan getting them races this year
Nobody is forcing you or anyone else to race any of these or the National.
Who cares
The Regionals seem to be bordering area qualifier regions these days and feel MX Sports needs to work on getting it centralized to the region itself. Southeast Amateur Regional is 10 hours from Jacksonville, FL so it really sucks for anyone in South Florida.
I will do a couple area qualifiers and call it quits.
Lots of hate in this thread. Plenty of racing all around if chasing Loretta's isn't your thing. I've made a lot of good memories traveling the country with my friends to these races and going to tracks I otherwise would likely never make the drive for as an amateur/weekend warrior. Doesn't have to be done while borrowing against the home either...
Dave v3.0, apparently
Yeah, I don’t really get the hate.
Even the Area’s are a cool experience. It’s really cool to watch the top riders, especially the 50, 65 and 85 riders. They’re so damn impressive, some are like little Jett Lawrence’s. Most are on their best race bikes and firing on all cylinders.
I hope to get enough seat time the next several months and feel fit enough to justify a run at +25 and +30 this year.
