Send any 02-07 in the 2-5k price range that look like a good deal or if you have any please send me pics and info within 3hours of rising sun Maryland.

Thanks!

The only ones I can find listed are 1-3k higher than they should be. Some are clearly dressed up with new plastics and listed for 5k and others are hammered dog poo for 4k.

It’s insane. But if you know of any decent ones priced reasonable send them here please!

Even 05-08 rm250s too, thanks.

Hey Sean, didn’t even ride this year and I have too many bikes so if I sell a 250 I think I would still be fine for the next 20 years or so…

The bike was pretty unmolested and in good condition when I found it for sale. I have ridden it probably 5 or 6 times in the 3 years I have owned it. I dialed in the stock mikuni in the first hour and it runs awesome. Somehow the combination of the rad valve and pc exhaust give it some great top end. I got the suspension serviced, it’s sprung and valved by Factory Connection for someone 185 lbs. Stock triple clamps or these TSR billet ones. It has a pro taper bearing throttle tube.  New kickstarter. New O ring chain and sprockets. New throttle cable, clutch cable, brake lines and pads. The brake hoses all go bad at this age and you’re chasing why the brakes are terrible. I tried a keihin airstriker with stic and I switched back to the mikuni. The 05-07 have two very different ignition maps because it had an early form of traction control and the bike would frequently put you in the slow map and be bogging out of a turn. When you disconnect the tps wire at the harness the bike runs the slow map, and that’s why everyone gets motor work when the bike feels slow. Plus, bone stock, you can never get the jetting right with the stock carb because the bike bounces back and forth between two very different maps. You blubber and ping on the same straight away. But when you run only on the fast map, the jetting problems are gone and the bike feels fast. I have had an 02 (back in 02), an 03 and some of these 06’s and there’s no comparison- the 05-07 is a ripper when it runs on the fast map. The 03 wasn’t bad with an airstriker, but feels sluggish in comparison. But it was a big improvement over the 02 which was disappointing stock.
Anyway, $5k would be my price. Boston area.
I have stock oem plastics for it too, even stock renthal bars and pad they came with.
