2011 Australia Rules changes for Motocross and Supercross

GCR 17.5.1.1b) will (from 1 January 2011) read:

Class - Capacity
Lite:
Up to 250cc (2 or 4 stroke)

Open
255cc and over 4 stroke
250cc and over 2 stroke (2 stroke permitted to ride one class only)

I know that the 250 2 strokes where racing the lites class this year in the pro's in Australia, does that new rule mean that its for amateurs now to, cuz i bought a yz250 2 months ago hoping for these rules

Yeah bud, you can race that bike in the lites class for next year. Gonna be good.

We can still buy new YZ 250, RM 250, TM 250MX, KTM 250 SX, Gas Gas, Maico, so the choice is definitely good.

So serviceHondas modern chassi + old engine gonna rule for sure but is that cheaper? Sounds like a toeshot to me?

Yeah the Service Honda/Kawasaki would be legal, but trying to land a Service made machine here aint cheap. Would cost about $13000 I reckon by the time you got it here. That would buy a new KTM + heaps of trick bits.
