My riding partner just got a leftover kawy 250f (2010) He s a mid pack B rider(cant tell him that LOL) 5 10 190lbs, he got his suspension done, rg3 triple clamps top and bottom, fmf 4.1 megabomb, and some other little bling parts, bike is awesome. He rode it for like a Hour for break in, then changed the oil and oil filter, checked all bolts and spokes, depends on your weight and skill level, stock spring should be good to about 175 IMO! FMF has kilers deals on pipes now! Def keep an eye on fender and shroud bolts, and replace the rear axle nut witha crf nut self locking, that cotter key shit is 20 years outdated! Good Luck!

I dont know what the hell Kawasaki uses as grip glue for the stock grips, but you might as well buy a new aluminum throttle tube when you replace the grips.......you'll find out why when the time comes.

Yep, but Kawi decided to use some super duper glue that would probably hold the wings of an airplane together. When you try to take the stock grips off you cant just cut them and peel them off, rubber chunks stay glued to the bars and the throttle tube and wont come off.

Just an FYI (yeah, I get to be *that* guy)...

Please type like you're using a full-size keyboard, not texting. Yeah, spelling and punctuation matter.

Maybe check out the forum posting rules as well.

You go Boiii !!!

And for what it's worth, Kawasaki has been vlucanizing the grip to the throttle tube since the early 80's. It is literally molded onto the tube. Iffin' ya got good whittlin' skillz, you can re-use the tube after a good carvin' session. And a final clean up on the belt sander.
