How can Boise State seriously think they deserve to play in the national championship when they are playing conference games like this? This game is sad.

Idaho's stadium only seats 16,000 people. Wow.

Boise can play with anyone in the country. Including any and all of the powerhouses in FL.

It's a new day in college football.

Come on. Who have they played? Virgina Tech? The same team that lost to James Madison the week after Boise squeaked by.

Not unless it's a bowl game. Boise is WAC and TCU is MWC.

TCU is another can kick the living shit out of any one of the power house teams in the country, as long as they are playing their best.

As far as the top twenty, what you believe their true ranking should be?

I would say #5 behind LSU. I'm fine with them being in the top 10, heck even the top 5. I just don't agree with the people giving them first place votes. I don't know how you can say they are a better team than Auburn or Oregon.

Boise seems to face this every year, then the bowl games come around, they beat, what is suppose to be a better team, then everyone still thinks they are a fluke.

I don't know that they are the best team in the country, but I do know they belong in the top five. People give way too much credit to the old power house teams, and not enough credit to teams like Boise St and TCU.

It's a new day in college football.

that's bullshit. The "better teams" they play in the bowls dont give a crap if they beat Boise State. Also, when they beat OU, Paul Thompson was our quarterback, Adrian Peterson and Malcolm Kelley were hurt, and most OU fans would tell you that wasn't our best team. If any of the elite programs only had to get up for Virginia Tech, or some other average bcs school once a year, they would all go undefeated. Tell your daddy T Boone I said hello.

Well, your sooners don't have Paul Thompson as their QB today. How do you feel the sooners would stack up against Boise St. today?

Oregon also just squeaked by.

As far as Auburn, I don't know how anyone could be to excited about them. Cam Newton shouldn't even been allowed play, after all the shit he left behind in FL.

They won by 3 touchdowns and put up 50 points?? Their Defense was weak(which is has been all year), but they were also going up against AJ Green and a decent offense. Oregon and TCU weren't very impressive.

You must not have watched the game. Unranked Georgia played them neck and neck until the fourth quarter.

Yes he does, and Cam Newton for Auburn shouldn't even be eligible to play college ball.

He was going to be suspended at FL for being an academic cheat. He chose to leave instead and spend a year at a small college until the mess he left behind at FL blew over.

That whole Cam Newton deal is a mess, curious to see what is going to happen.

Jim, did you see how many points Wisconsin put up on the scoreboard? 83 to 20. That has to be some kind of record?

I had to google the most points in a game deal, and came up with this:

Highest Scoring College Football Game

Georgia Tech 222 over Cumberland 0

"Highest Scoring Game of All-Time/Most Lopsided Victory of All-Time: Georgia Tech 222, Cumberland 0, Oct. 7, 1916. The game was played well before the NCAA officially began keeping records, but someone in Atlanta obviously was that day. And Tech coach John Heisman, showed little mercy on the Bulldogs as the Yellow Jackets scored 18 TDs. Six teams scored 18 or fewer touchdowns in 2006."

also this one:

"In division 1a I think it was by Wyoming over Northern Colorado, 103 to 0, Nov. 5th, 1949. Most points by BOTH teams was Oklahoma over Colorado, 82 to 42 (124), Oct. 4, 1980."

Thats some crazy shit.

It's a big mess, and I am amazed that what he did at FL was over looked when he signed up to go to Auburn.

BTW: I haven't even mentioned the other mess he's in because it's one man's word against the others, but I do believe there is more to come on that also.

BTW: That was one hell of a lot of points.

Take out the first quarter and Auburn outscored them 42-10. Last time I checked they play four quarters for a reason.

The only time Boise has played a team that is currently ranked they barely slipped past by a field goal.

Let me know when they get in a real conference and stop playing 6+ games a year against Mid-Southwestern Louisiana State Technical College.

It really makes no difference with people with your mind set. If they happen to meet up with Auburn in bowl game, win the game, you would still use the same old argument.

It's time for some fresh new teams in college football and some are not going to like that.

If that was the case I would say Boise was the better team. Come on.

So strength of schedule means nothing to you?

Boise St. can only do what they can do about their schedule. It's not something that they have a lot of control of. If you were a college powerhouse, would you want to play Boise?

Unfortunately they are penalized for that, but that is how it is. I'm not saying Boise isn't a very good team and probably do the most with less talent, but until they get into a real conference people aren't going to respect them.

It doesn't make sense for powerhouses to play them. They have everything to lose and nothing to gain. If they win, they were supposed to, and if they lose, it shows that Boise is better.

The only solution is for them to get into a better conference. Their schedule is the 60th most difficult in the country. There are quite a few teams that would be undefeated in the instance.

It's politics as usual, and if anyone is afraid to play Boise St. then that to should be looked at as being weak.

The power house teams can't have it both ways.

Teams are ranked on what they have done, not what they could do. By your logic a team that plays cupcakes every game and beats them by 50 should be #1 in the nation. It just doesn't make any sense. It's not like Auburn or Oregon have one loss and they're still ahead of Boise. They have beaten every team they've played, with those teams being much better teams as a whole than the teams Boise has played.

Good thing you're not an admissions director at a college. I would feel bad for all of the kids that took honors classes.
