Having used numerous differant exhausts through my years of riding and racing. I have found that DR.D / Dubach Racing to have some of the best exhausts to use in durability, power, and sound levels.
If I were to try something else what are your thoughts on it with actual facts to try something new?

Do you have an ideas what that Akropovic tests at sound wise? I know that DR.D offers inserts and 96 db pipes. Do you know how long it will stay quiet will packing be bad after 1 -3 rides then I need to re-pack it?
BTW BRO GET THE FMF FACTORY 4.1 SYSTEM KIT!! ITS ON SALE NOW ALL 4 STROKE EXHAST FOR FMF!! $679!! COMES WITH FMF MEGA BOMB HEADER IN TITANIUM AND FMF FACTORY 4.1 EXHAST WITH 94db INSERT WHICH IS AMA QUALIFICATIONS!! ALSO FOR NO EXTRA CHARGE YOU CAN GET THE EXHAST IN ANO BLUE, WOULD LOOK RAW ON A YAMAHA PLUS FACTORY SAN MANUEL YAMAHA USES THIS SET UP SO YOOU KNOW ITS GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, Twinky bike has the real raw goods on it. Sweetest pipe on the planet still didn't make the old piece of shit much better. But for $379.00 for a hand built pipe and silencer it really looks raw. Makes the whole bike look raw I guess?
So I would like to hear valid reasons what everyone thinks is better and why? Thank you!
San Manuel left Akropovic? Since when?
newmann is right about a $60 sprocket making a bigger "improvement" than a $800 exhaust for most of us spodes.
DL what are your special offers? I know what I have gotten in quality from DR.D and what extra accessories they have to offer me other than just exhausts. What makes yours better? How long will the system last before having to refurb it?
1. Hanger Bracket- it's replaceable and moveable allowing a happier fit on a bike that's been tweaked.
2. Mid Pipe to Muffler- slip fit with a longer engagement..... leak free and rotates providing a perfect fit.
3. Refurb- we use Silent Sport packing which is regarded as the best and longest lasting. Repacking intervals vary per rider but we provide for easy packing while on the bike cause our outlet cap is easily removed thus allowing access to the back of the muffler. Just push the good packing in towards the front of the muffler where it's been deterorating and put some new packing in the empty space at the back. This takes under 5 minutes.
4.Custom Mufflers- you can pick your muffler length and core diameter. We have AMA and FIM 94 db systems available (very different spec and performance)
5. Vital member discounts- please PM me...... keep in miind that our regular retail price is $399 for a full sysytem (stainless head pipe/aluminum muffler). I also offer a money back guarntee.

Pit Row
The only reason I can think of for getting a Ti/Ti exhaust is for weight savings and that's pretty much a lost cause on the 450's. Can see that being a more viable choice for a 250F. The first Ti exhaust I got was back in 2001 for my YZ250F. DSP full Ti SX exhaust system knocked nearly three pounds off over the stocker plus added between 2-3 hp throughout the rpm range. The first YZ250F had a seriously detuned pipe for some reason, probably to prevent it from being protested more than it was against the 125's. I had the DSP pipe on my bike less than thirty minutes before the weld seam on the can blew apart and chunks of titanium started flying. They warranted it, claiming a defect in the welding process caused the ti to get brittle. Couple years later, someone rubbed me a little in a corner on the muffler and tweaked it over a small amount. Wouldn't have been a big deal if it hadn't have gotten caved in from the caliper hitting it on the next jump.
I like the Ti systems for weight but not so much for anything other than some SX riding.
