Well I'm glad I started this thread because Cahuilla was great today. Will definitely be back. I think next weekend I'm going to try Glen Helen.

Next weekend GH is racing on the main Saturday & there is an SRA GP Sunday.

I'm just riding for now. It's been about a year since I last raced. Those SRA races look like a damn good time.
We've never been asked for any registration in Ocotillo Wells. The off road part of the park has rangers patrolling but they don't drive around checking paperwork. Technically you need a green (or red) sticker but unless you're doing something stupid like riding on the highway or ripping through peoples camps they're not going to hassle you. Big Bear has some green / red sticker trails, but they're limited. The best bet is to pick up a dual sport, then you can go just about anywhere you want. But you could go ride Ocotillo in the off road part of the park and be fine.

The new vet layout at Pala is pretty fun, more jumpy and less flowy than before. Little bit of a trade off I guess. The dirt on both tracks was so good tho. The dirt has been epic lately at Pala.
Monday, Tuesday, and Friday are far less busy than the weekends at Fox, plus the entry is only $20.00 if you get there at 11.30.
Also, the dirt at Perris is similar to Barona and Fox, and both tracks there are fun with no death defying jumps on either of them.
Glen Helen is sandy. although many people are in denial about that fact. but if you liked the dirt at Cahuilla, you will probably like it at Glen Helen. The layot on both tracks is fun.

I don't think I'll go this weekend...I want a chance to ride the track and get used to it a bit before I race it. The last time I raced a track that I had never been on I left bruised and in pain for weeks, lol.
I'll see when the next one is after this one, and make it a goal to be there. I'll let you know!
I think I'm going to save Fox for the weekdays. The new layout does look fun, although I think they took out the double in the middle just after the left hand bowl turn. That was my favorite part of the whole track, lol.
I liked all the jumps there, and I loved the entire previous layout, but my friend went there Saturday and he absolutely hated the new layout, plus I say the videos of the new layout and I'm majorly bummed, but I am going there Tuesday anyway to check it out and will hope for the best.
Lake Elsimore Rceway is also reopening, but it won't be open for a few months.
Liking or disliking California or any other state for that matter is a political thing now. If you’re one of those people that’s super wrapped up in the news and social media 24/7, you’re not allowed to say you like a state if it’s known for having different political opinions than you do.
There was a guy here not long ago posting stuff like, “I care too much about my country and family to support a place like California.” It’s like, ok dude calm down 🙄
