Hey guys,
Was riding my 23 250XC yesterday and notice the FI sequence which correlates with ignition coil circuit fault (3 slow blinks, 7 fast blinks). Bike was running perfect, no symptoms or any issues at all.
Misc info:
-Bike has ~50hrs
-I noticed some dirt on the battery terminals (battery was removed and put back in a week or so ago). I checked and cleaned the terminals after the Fi light came on.
-Battery seems strong, always started quickly from beginning to end of day
-Engine is completely oem and stock (original spark plug, sensors, etc)
-Running pump gas 60:1, motorex oil
-I did a TON of stopping and starting from doing trail maintenance
-Ignition coil was tight against the frame with both bolts holding it on.
-Spark plug seemed tight
-Fi light stops blinking anything above idle, not sure if that’s standard for all codes though.
I’m going to get the bike flashed to the 24 map so I can reset faults. Any recommendations for a decent KTM plug to OBD2 adapter? I’ve searched but they seem to come and go frequently on Amazon to the point that the links I find are expired.
The bike does have the early 2023 updated map. This updated map was for the power valve fault from accidentally hitting the start button while the bike is running.
Any suggestions for fixing are appreciated!
My 23 300sx has been blinking for the last 75hrs of use…. I stopped looking at it…
LOL! I should probably do the same. Do you have fault 37 or a different one?
I think I have the code for pressing start button when it was running…I put the EcU on my new 25 300sx and its doing the same thing😂
LOL! I can see why you ignored it then. I cleaned all the ground connections, put a new plug in, and plan to get the 2024 flash this weekend. We’ll see how it goes. Pretty much always run 60:1 but I used my buddies 50:1 the last ride. Plug looked like it may have been arching onto the terminal?
