Anyone found a simple solution to the starks tendency to be harsh on choppy braking bumps ? Just chasing some plushness in the chop . Hold up on corners and jumps is good just after some plushness in the choppy stuff

Same problem here. Rear kicks like a mule in braking bumps. Do not wanna go softer since it is already bottoming o bigger jumps...

I’m going a revalve on the shock and swapping my dal soggio sphere inserts from my husky into the stark for a bit more cost than a revalve . Hopefully I get a win out of this plan

I’m adjusting the compression and rebound settings on the suspension

Did you ever find a setting that worked?

I raced the "EMX World Championship" (lol) at GH this past weekend, and don't think I have ever ridden a bike that beat me up more on the small bumps/chop.

The dal soggio inserts got machined and a slight revalve to fit in the kyb outers ( previously in wp forks ) it’s pretty good in the choppy stuff just doesn’t love big slap down landings which I suspect is a stark frame issue . It will bottom very occasionally but u don’t dread the impact

Not in mine anymore , I already owned the inserts and liked them . It was only about an extra $100 US to put them in over the kyb revalve

I am 170 lbs,, +40 Vet A rider, and I ordered my Stark with the medium suspension.  I found it to be way too soft, and the stock valving was not good.  It would bottom very easily on large jumps, the rear would buck, not a lot of plushness or comfort.  I had it re-valved by a local guy here in Florida, and it was a huge improvement.  it is super plush now, and has better bottoming resistance.  However, it's still too soft.  I have to fork compression 6 clicks from fully closed, and I still bottom the forks sometimes.

I've heard that these bikes need to be sprung stiffer to work well.  So the next time I have my suspension done, I am going to go to stiffer springs along with a re-valve.  A lot of good info here:
