Matt Moss to KTM

Edited Date/Time 1/26/2012 7:56am
Australia's Factory Suzuki Manager, Jay Foreman, confirms that Matt Moss will be riding 250s for KTM next year. Still unclear is whether Matt will be contesting the 2011 season in Australia or in America. Perhaps this is what Old Mate was alluding to when he hinted at Matt being at A1?

Just hope that he he gets healthy and stays healthy for A1! After seeing what he did to the Aussie super x field last year, I really want to see what he can do here, healthy!

If Matt signed with the Aussie Factory KTM team for the domestic 2011 season, the fact that the AU KTM program will, as of next year, also have a full American-based team, bodes well for Matt making a return to the States in 2012. Although, I think he's probably ready now.

This KTM trans-pacific arrangement could prove a useful conduit for promising Aussie riders transitioning onto the American race scene.

If he couldn't make it happen on a Factory-Carmichael, why is it a good idea to put him on a KTM....in the US?

he had a lot of injuries this year, i'm sure if he was healthy he would of shown what he was capable of.

Matt got smashed pretty bad at the last race of the 2009 Aussie SX series resulting in him missing, I believe, the entire AMA SX. He was still carrying an injured wrist into the Outdoors. It was a year to forget. Most riders have 'em.

Matt appears to be back to his high-flying best, as evidenced by his current Aussie SX performances, and probably deserves another crack at the AMA - perhaps on a 250 this time.

definatly on an 250. PJ doesnt seem to be a match for him at the moment and lets not forget hes only been back on the bike for 2 or 3 weeks. expect him to get better each week. I'd like to see him carry this momentum into A1.

He is riding for JDR KTM in Aus, i believe there are plans for him to do some US SX races also.

PJ has the speed to be beat Moss, so far they have both won a round although PJ's starts have been letting him down..particuarly in Canberra, where as Moss nearly holeshoted every race.

Still Moss is only going to get stronger every week and it will be a batlle to the end.

Matt was clearly faster at Newy... Clearly... But he had a silly crash coming from behind in the 2nd race... In fact, it was a pretty Moss like move... If they would both just calm down, just a tad, they'd be so much better off... I don't think they realise how fast they are...Staying off the ground at their 95 percent would see them beat more people than not...
