Not something I would want to deal with. That water is really Sharky up that way, ten again so is the areas I used to spearfish in by myself off Scottsmans according to a Sheriff helicopter guy I met. He said they would see large Whites all the time there. I guess I have some good mojo so far.

Yeah it is still really a nice place, I talked to the guy this summer, it was when the guy did the GoPro film. He said they would see them all the time when they went up and down the coast. The area the boogie boarder got hit is north of Jalama, that is the northern most point of the Ranch. Water is always cold year round.

I think the sharks migration patterns are changing. We never worried about sharks when I was a kid.

Because we didn't know any better. I stopped going in the water up there once I got heavy into sport fishing. Pretty amazing the things you see in the water from a boat when you are on it all the time..

You gotta be a fool to go in water where you are considered food.

Still a really beautiful area, OT just above there is the canyon where I saw a mountain lion during a MTB ride in the late 80s, maybe a half mile from the elementary school.

I went for a hike in El Moro a few months back. Hadn't been there in years.

They have trail markers now, and all the names of the trails are the ones we made up thirty years ago.

"I Think I Can", "Mach I"...

Cool to see that.

Jim, the date shake stand is still there.

That boy who was killed was my daughters friend, he was from the 951 area, he goes to school up there. His friend was so brave for bringing him in, it's very sad to say the least. He bled out very quick, his last words were basically dude I don't feel good, just makes me sad it happened.
