I believe this design is a direct result of RV's crash last year! You know the one where his exhaust got packed with dirt. It is a fact that two holes are harder to plug then one!!

Back in 96 or 97 I had a 1990 Husky 510 that I had lightened and narrowed up. I let a friend race a few of the 4 Stroke Nationals on it. There were some Japaneese engineers at the Washougal round, they were all over that bike taking pictures and taking their Japaneese engineer talk when they saw it. They thought they were seeing the latest in exhaust technology. It was the stock exhaust which was two silencers connected together on the same side. They must have been from Honda and later on saw an earlier 510 which had one on each side.
