After all the furore leading up to the MXDN with the Italian Federation over sponsors on the Azure Blue Italian team shirts, how come Antonio Cairoli turned out in his first moto in a red Italia shirt?
Anyone know the inside scoop?

I'm going to take a complete stab in the dark, but maybe its to do with him being Sicilian?

They are RED, so as not to show the blood?

Anyone else know reasons behind RED shirt?

At the MXoN Franciacorta Italy in 2009 they wore green shirts as this was the colour of the governing party in Lombardia, region of the MXoN.

The flag of Sicily is dark red (and yellow)! But I really have no idea and it is a little strange considering the hoopla of shirt-gate.

You got me....the only reason I can think of is that,red illustrates bravery, strength, valor. Smile
Maybe that is why...
Or maybe he just liked how the jersey felt & looked.
