For getting me in shape to nearly sweep the RiderDown.org rowing competition at the MXdN this weekend! First on Saturday running on nothing but beer I won 150$ towards Sicass racing products. Some monster set a faster time on Sunday that beat mine by only a second.

Had too much fun in Lodo Saturday night to row on Sunday.
And I happened to witness that dude on Sunday row a 1:24.7. He was about 6'1" and was pretty big (probably around 220 lbs) and muscular, but not ripped. Perfect form, long strokes. Started off at about a 1:22 pace and finished at about a 1:26 pace. Very impressive. Did you row late in the day? I thought second place was in the 1:27's.
I think the podium on Saturday was 1st 1.30.4 2nd 1.30.5 3rd 1.31.0 Suuuuper tight!
There were some quick times set, much faster than I expected. When I set the 1.30.4 on the first day I was pretty confident that it would stand all weekend. I was shocked that there had been a sub 1.30 time set.
One more hard pull and I might have had you! Congrats, you wanted it bad, throwing up after both, especially doing it again on Sunday! I told my buds to keep me away from that damn thing on Sunday, but I had to go and watch.
A real big muscular dude got on the rower after I rowed my 1:31.0 on Saturday. He hit it HARD for about 25 seconds, around a 1:22 pace. He was rowing so hard he was popping little rower wheelies - me and another guy actually stood on the front of the rower. Then his face got real red and dropped to a 1:40 pace for about 10 seconds. Then he stopped and they had to help him get off the rower. I don't think he'd rowed before.
