I shot this video just as Dungey and Short finished 1-2 in the final moto of the 2010 MXoN at Thunder Valley in Lakewood, CO. It's pretty interesting to watch the emotions of the riders and team manager DeCoster as they savor the love after their hard-fought victory for Team USA.

Pretty cool seeing Canard wrapped up in the American flag. We couldn't have had 3 better guys to show off their national pride. The Americans have a huge amount of pressure and expectations and are the only country where second place is a complete disaster.

Props to our guys for staying tough and pulling it out.

It was sweet to be in the mob that surrounded the podium. Unfortunately most all the pictures I took at the podium were fouled by the setting sun. Those guys should be proud, they sure looked it.

Yeah, that's cool stuff. The real mob scene was in front of the actual podium. Quite a few spectators got into the photo area and made it a lot less than ideal for shooting.

Bauer, thanks a ton for the video...my wife and I had a 8 hr drive back to Kansas so as soon as I saw Short cross the finish line, we hauled butt for the car. Smile

That's payback for all of you photo dogs getting in the way at the exit of the first corner. The medics and photographers basically put up a solid wall. I was standing right there and I couldn't tell who had the holeshot in the second moto.

I shot that from the actual photo area in front of the podium. I was right next to Donn and then the floodgates busted open
