Back in 1983 I worked for General Dynamics here in CT and held a TS clearance.
Worked on the Trident program and the LA class Fast Attack subs.

They did ask quite a few weird questions but at that time there was no Polygraph

I just got approved for my clearance and didn't think it was that big of a deal. If you want a TS/SCI the government is pushing them through in 4 months right now. Companies are taking the opportunity to get as many though the process as possible before the gov stops the quick push.
