Fuck those things. Even the ones with the concealed bolts are pieces of shit lol. Don’t even get me started on tankless water heaters that require downloading an app to fire up.

The way it's going, pretty soon you'll need a paid subscription to flush the commode or have hot water 😡

A few years ago tankless models were being introduced that allows the installer to enable a service alert that would be prompted after a certain amount of time goes by. Harmless in thought, but it also puts the unit in standby mode until resolved. You can even input your business phone number to display. I wouldn’t want that as a option if it was my heater.

I installed a tankless a couple months ago l. Required downloading the app. Owners information. Installers credentials. Electricians credentials. Total developed length of intake and, exhaust. Number of fittings. Bird screen, yes or, no. Permit number. Temperature settings. Material used. Pictures loaded into a PDF file. Acid neutralizer box.  I’m sure there’s more. All this stuff on a Saturday while the owner was out of town. Yet, I have a different project to start Monday with a full crew. They stayed home Monday so, I could meet with the owner. Contact the electrician. Just to fire up the damn thing.

Yes they are! I had no idea they were transported like that. May explain some of the engine failures? 😉

Those things were everywhere back in the 70’s/early 80’s!

A good buddy of mine got a mustard yellow Vega from his older sister when he turned 16 and we burned some gas in that little Chevy! It was a Vega GT & he saved up over the summer and replaced the factory wheels with a set of Craeger SS’s and man he sure thought he had a “sports car”! Those were fun times! 😎 👍❗️

Absolutely! Great times. I think they had a model that had an aluminum block ‘cosworth’ engine that was pretty impressive for back thenWink

They did. My college girlfriend’s dad had one. I’d never heard of it before that. Cool little car.

My Buddy had one that looked similar to this back in 1980-ish… so many happy memories from those days!

That would be a non starter here. Permits aren't required to install a tankless water heater.

Permits are a requirement for any type of water heater here in Wa. The only type of plumbing that doesn’t require a permit is drain line cleaning.

Since we’re on the subject of plumbing, check out this drinking fountain my buddy had to replace lol. I guess the previous plumber wanted to expose the piping to show how good he was 😂
