2006 Roketa???

Edited Date/Time 1/25/2012 2:42am
Okay, I've heard all to horror stories about the Chinese brands, and how hard they are to find parts. But my daughter isn't really into the whole motorcycle thing. I think she will be more of a quad girl. A friend of my wife has a little 2006 70cc quad that I think would be great for her. They are asking $500, but I am a little skeptical becasue of how difficult it may be to get parts. I went online and found where you can order parts. It seems fairly straight forward.

Has any one here purchased on of these quads or a bike from Roketa? Just hoping to get some info. Thanks

Her brother has a pw50 with training wheels and won't get near the thing unless I am on it with her. I think the quad may be more her style.

Make sure to tighten all nuts and bolts after each lap around the yard.

Don't do it, all those knock offs are complete crap. Buy a used Japanese quad if thats what she wants. It will be more or less bullet proof.

That's kind of what I thought. But do any of the big four make a quad that is small enough for a 5 year old, 3' 7". The smallest yamaha I can find is too tall for her. She isn't going to be jumping or doing anything to crazy. Just cruising around the desert on the flat areas won't be very hard on the quad.

I've owned 2 "non-Japanese" atv's. I've had good luck with both. One is a 90cc (we've had for 4 years) and the other was a 50cc. The battery on the smaller one had to be continually charged...but would always work good for weekend trips. If it sat more than a week or two, it would be dead.

I paid $900.00 for the 50 and sold it for $500.00. (my daughter moved up to the 90).
I paid $1,799.00 for the 90 and it is still running great. We've had it in water to the handle bars too...

A buddy got a little 50cc from a "side of the road" dealer. It was a huge pile of shit. You had to look at them, and then you can usually tell.

Honda and Suzuki made some 50s and 70s but keep in mind that was quite a few years ago and they might be hard to find. Actually, the NEWER LEM's aren't too bad either. They're not Hondas, but they are OK.

*edit* I see Suzuki was still making the LT80 in 2006, so maybe check with you Suz dealer.
