Eastern WA/Horn Rapids

I miss riding at Toes. Used to be great when the weather was crap at home on the west side.

Yea me too along with dairy land which got taken over and became sky river in Monroe. Dairy land 2 when beal reopened a track in Snohomish by the baseball fields. 

The short lived track by Leavenworth - who's was that? was in 04. 

Alderdale mx that was fun but didn't last long again around 04/5. 

Longview mx 

Rmc indoor the lynnwood motoplex indoor in smokey point. 

Monroe arenacross is it truly done now after this year? Puyallup  fair ax. Clark County ax. Salem ax.

For awhile there in the early 2000's mx scene around here was pretty sweet. 

Yeah. That is Toes in 2006 I think. For me it made for a good picture, not something I could ride. The other tracks there were alot of fun though. 

The first time I rode at Horn Rapids was summer of 1993, I lived outside Vancouver but was roofing houses in West Richland. One of the guys framing the houses was from Portland and had a 91 CR500 and was a pretty good rider, he said he'd bring his bike if I'd go to the track with him and he'd let me ride some also. I didn't have a bike then and the little riding I did was when I was at Fairchild in the USAF, 1984-1990, I rode at 7 mile alot and raced at Sandpoint and Clarkia in 86 and 87, never rode a 500 though and my good days I didn't get lapped in the 250 Novice class. 

So we go out to Horn Rapids after work and the owner spins some laps, then I spin some laps nice and easy, bring it back in for a drink of water. The guy complimented me on my riding, obviously just being polite, then said we should do lap times and he said I could go first. So I go out and the guys compliment stuck in my brain, on the 2nd lap I probably had a flashback to a picture of RJ in MXA  and thought maybe Roger was going to call me, I came out of a slow corner and don't remember giving it much throttle but the front wheel came up and there was no stopping it, up, and over, loop out city, bike flipping, I'm in the dirt, not embarrassed but totally shocked at the quickness that all transpired. Mangled radiator, plastic busted, bike not rideable, the owner only got a few laps in and I got to buy a bunch of parts.
