I have a 25'SR and talked to my dealer yesterday and my VIN is part of the recall.  I asked specifically if this was a stop ride and he said no only a stop sale. I already have an appointment for late April so mine gets in on the first batch of repairs, hopefully there are no delays.  Good on Kawi for making this right.  BTW, this is the 7th KX450 I have owned since 2007 and never had a recall or any unexpected mechanical failures so I am happy with their response.

The OG Kawi 450 had a run of motors w/ too much liquid gasket, which would find its way to the internal oil screen. Once plugged, well we all know how that would end. 
I was able to clean all of mine before it was too late, but I definitely saw some motors go down before they found the cause.
