2022 KTM 250 XCF oil in stator/ignition?

2 stroke  guy learning 4 stroke life.. my bike will not fire and code said crank pos fault.  Took ignition cover and found a table spoon or 2 of oil in stator area?  Normal ? Seems weird .  All advice appreciated 🤙🏼

Sounds like it is out of time , check valve timing

The 4 stroke engines have oil around the stator.

Thanks all - ran fine at home - unloaded it at the track - just turns over - fuel pump works and connection all checked.  I’ll check the flywheel thx
