A little back story.  After riding my Beta RX and my KX450, I stall my Honda every now and then.  I’m old and slow and not above wrong gear whatever.  I also don’t ride my Honda much, in fact I really haven’t ridden it all that much since I bought it.  Just never blew my dress up.

After not being able to sell for cheap, I threw a Luxon triple clamp and re sprung cause of weight loss.  Which really helped with handling.  Figured for grins I’d add a 10oz flywheel weight.  I hoped it would take the edge off engine braking besides beside helping lug a little better when needed.

Haven’t been to the track yet but after I installed it yesterday  I did putt around down the street and back while everybody was at work.  I purposely lugged at stop signs.  Definitely could tell a little difference, same for engine braking.  I always thought this Honda had quite a bit more engine braking then my old YZF.  I’d say it’s similar or less.  I think I’m going to like it.

Installing the flywheel was a fun project for an old retired guy.  I’m not trying to make a trail bike out of it, I have a mod’ed up  Honda 250F trail bike, which I seldom ride.  Not a lot of trails in my neck of the woods.  Just trying to make my Honda R a little more old guy user friendly.  Hope to get to the track tomorrow to see how it does.  At first look seems like I might like it.  Stealthy was really good to deal with, they answer the phone too.

Comments if ya got any, thanks Billy

Took my Honda with 10 oz flywheel to Ultimate MX this morning.  Loved the heavy flywheel so much I’m responding to my own post lol!.  Easy for old guy to ride.

Also loved the Luxon 23.5 clamp and finally got my springs right for my weight.  Didn’t get to ride as much as I wanted, wife’s birthday and forgot to get her a card and flowers.  Had to cut my ride short but still fun.
