That bike looks amazing!!!  A set of those retro purple Renthals would set it off if you could find them!  Still looks great without them though.

Ha i had those on my kx60 back in the day; this bike came with Kevin Windham pro tapers in black so i kept them and went with the USA cross bar pad as a hint towards the MXDN team from that year.inspiration pic

My bike took ten years.

Owned bike for 19. Blew up after 7 years of abuse. Stored until COVID shut down. I was buying parts here and there. Finally had the time. Mine did not come out as nice but still lots of fun!

Ripped another track last night; bike was rich in the main jet for the 80+ temps and my upper shock bearing needs replaced. Going to rejet and tinker with the settings and swap out the upper shock bearing in the next couple weeks and try to get to Byron next saturday if weather holds out.

Bike did great; far better than i did, haha.  Track was rough and deep with big jumps.  Probably not the best thing to ride after 20 years off but i had fun and thats what matters.

Rear shock upper bearing loosened up for some reason so picked up a rebuild kit for it and the rear caliper guard disappeared somewhere, sometime on the track.

Graphics just cleared customs so hoping i have them this week; next ride is Wednesday at 430pm.

Sounds like fun. My 1st ride in 12+ yrs at Denmark was a blast. For practice it’s usually hard pack & tough I Love it. I would prefer deep sand but it’s really fun. I didn’t walk the track I just went wo rt away. 1 hill has 4 lanes of floater jumps 4th gear on the gas good you’ll clear it clean. My favorite floater you land in rough holes then hit the inside rut in 2nd get on the gas click 3rd wo on the short up hill run & it’s a fall away jump. It surprised me on how big it was 100+ ft fall into the valley. I hit that 1 a little slower the rest of the day. Sat I blew my back out pretty bad in the cold working on a vehicle. I just had back injections on 3-21. More on 4-18. Horrible timing. Denmark on race day is totally diff . Kinda of loamy , watered , with good traction. Later on it gets hard pack.

Google Denmark Mx scroll down there’s yt videos by Zach. It shows the track pretty good. The fall away off the hill is bigger in real life.  You can come up short on the jumps, next lap just a little  more gas & you’ll clear it. Rpa off road is the site for the track. Info to become a member , races, etc. it’s 200 for the yr.  Other 125 riders say it’s great for 125,s the track has a nice flow. Another track in the flat pit area. With another for 50cc beginners. Races r non ama  pretty laid back old school vibe. 125 class is 150 a,b & c double gate drop I think. 40+, 50&60+ double gate drop I think. There’s 80,s,90,s class put a decal ovr your frame. Just say it’s a 99 I don’t think anyone would care . 50 bucks unlimited classes . Something new he charges 50 to race Mx or his off rd series. He had a off rd race yrs ago at Navarino ski hill. It’s sand I trespassed & made a track on the hill in 91.  I don’t think the ski hill is on the schedule now tho.

Pull plug this weekend; was a little dark, thinking 350 jet is still too fat, especially for 75+F temps...
ordered a 330 and 340 and swapped in a 45 pilot jet that the bike came with.  Put in a new plug and cleaned and oiled the air filter and going to see how it behaves once the weather clears up again.

It’s back to cold here . Snow off& on all day& night mon. Today windy & cold. Sat Denmark 40% rain 31 in the morning with a high of 45. The high temp recently hits at 5pm. Too cold for me. Plus I get another back injection Friday.

Both my shock bearings failed; the upper bearing was OEM so probably should have replaced it initially anyways and then the lower shock mount bearing fell apart when i was regreasing to assemble it.  Ordered KHI part number this time; thinking it might have been damaged during install as i did all the bearings in the linkage during the rebuild.  Hoping to have everything back together early next week to ride at Valley MX again if the weathers decent.

Strange that the bearings failed. I loaded up my 05 & dropped it at a shop to get a crank changed. It was raining ice pellets then rain. I plan on selling the 05 but that will be tough. Time off isn’t much . Did ya hear about western Wi. They got nailed hard with snow. Weekend forcast is horrible.  If you ever make the trip to Denmark. West of GB 8 mi out on hey 29 a shell station has 110 leaded at the pump. It’s out back. A 50/50 mix with pump your KX 125 would Love it.

Swapped out bearings for fresh ones and alls good there now.  Hard to tune the carb, the weather is so drastic lately.  I am a notch 3 on the needle, 340 main, 45 pilot @ 1.5 turns out.

It does very well but slight bog off idle; thinking pilot is lean yet, going to order 47.5 and 50 pilot.

Put a couple more hours on last night; adjusted air screw to 1 turn out and that cured bogging off idle, i have a random bog about 3/8 throttle though so thinking i need to adjust the needle position. WOT it pulls hard so i think main jet and pilot jet are dialed in now.

Got the carb dialed in.

Had to make a few adjustments last outting as the throttle cable slipped out the top of the carb twice.  Easy fix.
Drained oil from crankcase and found coolant in it; installing a water pump rebuild kit tonight that should fix the issue.

hoping to ride again tomorrow and maybe this weekend; bikes doing great!

Damn 2 years went quick!  Ended up selling the bike a few months after i finished it to a member on here that messaged me and paid what i was asking.
Miss this bike though, such a cool looking ride.
