I like the opening quote "nobody can go around a track faster than I can".....very true.

Too bad we get to see it so rarely.

Now P will say that he won because you posted a pic! He is WEAK!

Mini-P why is that you give James all this praise for being black, but you don't mention the fact that Carmichael was a Keebler Elf? Nor do you take into account the fact that he was a pasty white Red Head! Have you ever stood out in the sun at a national? Imagine doing that with pasty white skin and RED hair! RC is the greatest ever! James won't make a pimple on his ass!

Cool video. Hadn't seen that one yet. I still find it amazing what that family went through to help him get to the top. On another note, I remember that race he talked about up north with the guys calling him the names and giving him the finger. What I can't believe is that any true moto fan standing next to them didn't grab those fuckers by their mullets and beat the living shit out of them. un-real...

No, they shouldn't have done it on RC because he wasn't even racing MX/SX at that time. You apparently don't get how rare it is to have a black Champion in any motorsport. Not just a Champion, but a guy that has changed the way people see the sport on and off the track. Also, that is why he WASN'T lying when he said that. He was the top dog in the sport at that time (24 for 24).

I should have known that you were from NC..........

by this statement i am assuming you think im some white farm boy.... wrong, my father is african american and my mother is an lumbee indian. with that being said, i do not base the things i say based on one's skin color. my father being a black man, i relize that there are more blacks that are racist then any other race because most feel that others owe them everything and that it should be given to them, my father was the same way. so again, when JS7 was asked if he was the most dominate rider of his time, the answer should have been no. no one can compare to the Goat! JS7 isnt even on MC's level yet as far as win's. i do believe JS7 has bought the sport to another level with the scrub's , tv show, etc. but he is no Goat.

Why can't someone post a decent video (or photo or comment) of a rider on the forum without getting into these pointless debates?

of course they have a right. I have my favorite riders and some that I don't care for. Most of that comes from media interviews, hear-say or what ever. As far as I know my views of those riders are probably way off based. Probably great guys if you knew them in person. Either way, you think it's ok to yell the n-word every time he goes by? What the fuck does that have to do with the rider? How does that sound to the 10 year old kid standing near them enjoying the race? If I don't like the rider coming by, I might not pump my fist for them every time they come by, but I will clap for them at the end of the race for putting on a good show.

Not quite. I said that because bobby397's comment was so backward thinking. I run into to more backward thinking people in NC than anywhere.

RC had HIS time and James is having his. Just give him credit when it is due.

There are very few riders in this sport th have accomplished as much as James has throughout their entire career's.

That is your way of expressing your dislike of that particular rider. Those mulleted rednecks have their way. I don't agree with them or what they had to say yet i do believe they should have the RIGHT to say whatever they want.

As for the 10 year old close to them, either do a good job parenting and instill good morals and values into your children or don't take them to a race and let them stand next to Mulleted rednecks!

Any sane person can clearly see that Stewart is NO WHERE NEAR as dominate as Tiger, Kobe, or Jordan.

Or RC.

James will never live up to the standard set by RC. It is too late in his career now to even think about it.

RC is the GOAT. We all know that and get it. Who compared JS to RC? RC said JS was the fastest guy to ever ride a dirt bike. Depending on how you look at era, JS is the most dominant of his era, so far. JS's era started at the end of RC's era. JS's era might be gone. Fact is only 2 guys have ever run the table in the outdoors.

Dude, he's won titles in EVERY CLASS. 125 MX, 125 East SX, 125 West SX, 250/450 MX, 250/450 SX (National and World Titles). No other rider has done that, not even RC. Put on top of that he went undefeated in 250/450 MX, has the most wins in 125 MX history AND changed the way people in general ride an MX bike. Oh, I forgot to mention that he held the title for most LL's wins until KW859 took that title, but who knows James might get that one back.

Oh, wait, we can't forget that up until the end of the 2009 season he always won in SX if he didn't fall. Think about that. That includes races with Chad and RC. And one more thing. His comeback in 2009 (SX) was one of the greatest that the sport has ever seen. He was down 19 points or so after the first round to Chad Reed..........Chad Reed one of the most consistant riders ever, and he still won the title...............

You can compare him to Kobe and Tiger easily IMHO.

Jeff Ward:

1984— AMA 125cc national motocross Championship.
1985— AMA national 250cc motocross Champioship.
1985— AMA 250cc Supercross Champioship.
1987— AMA national 250cc Supercross Championship.
1988— AMA national 250cc Motocross Champioship.
1989—AMA Nnational 500cc Motocross Championship. First (and only?) rider in history to win every major AMA national motocross title. 1990—AMA National 500cc Motocross Championship.
2004—Won AMA Supermoto Championship at 43 years of age.
2006—Won X-Games Supermoto Championship at 45 years of age.
2006—Won AMA Supermoto Championship (second title)
2008—Won X-Games Supermoto Championship at 47 years of age (second title).
7 Time MxDN Champion
I also recall Wardy racing with a specially fabricated boot so he could race with a broken ankle while trying to salvage a championship title.

Bubba's got a lot of years to go before he can even hold Wardy's jock strap, P.

The other big thing is that RC, Wardy, Johnson, Hannah did win champioships EVEN IF THEY DID FALL, NUMEROUS TIMES!

Based on the past couple of years, James is fast becoming the next Travis Pastrana. Unlimited talent in an eggshell body. Hard to pile up the wins and championships when you can't race due to injury.

Come close, I have something to tell you..........JEFF WARD IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE RIDER.

Now here is where you fucked up. You included titles that Ward didn't win when he was racing as an AMA National Pro. Second, this discussion isn't about the number titles that James has won (which is 7). Lastly, your comment about those guys winning titles even if they crashed proves that your reading comprehension skills are lacking.

If you watch the video again James said he is the most Dominant performer in any sport.

He is disrespecting Ricky and Jeremy by saying he is the most dominant performer.

According to the scoreboard he is not the most dominant in SX or MX.

Ricky is the most dominant in MX and Jeremy in SX.

Overall MX&SX Ricky is the most Dominant in our sport in the premier class only ever losing 2 championships he entered. And beating James every time for a championship when they raced together.

Fact is James never won a championship that Ricky was entered in.

James has been a very dominant racer his whole career, very similar to Carmichael. But the big difference is Stewart tends to bail really hard every couple of races, and tends to get hurt pretty regularly. Dominant, yes. Crash/injury prone, also yes.

The numbers posted prove it, Stewart has KO'd himself out of more than half of his title campaigns.

Scoreboard tells the story here, and James knows it too.

James is doing the same thing as two retired guys? X Games, right? There's nothing else definite on his schedule. I like seeing James ride also, but get off of his sack.

I am just trying to prove a point that Wardy, even though he is "old" can still beat guys much younger than him no matter what the race or series. Wardy did a helluva lot better than Danica Patrick has done in Indy Car even though he got started in it very late. He could also race and win when injured. Remember when RC jacked his knee before the SX season yet he went on to win the title, then had reconstructive surgery and missed the whole MX season.

Back on point.

I will agree that James is the fastest ever on two wheels. The problem is he crashes too much. At the AMA Pro level, James probabyly has the highest winning percentage for races FINISHED, which would put him ABOVE Tiger and Kobe. He definitely has a much lower winning percentage for races ENTERED, which would put him far below Tiger and probably around Kobe's level.

Better?

Read through the thread again and see if you see where anyone brings up the comparison.

Yes he said he was the most dominant performer in any sport. So fucking what? I bet if you ask LeBron he thinks he is. What do you think Kobe would say? How about Tiger? Who do you think is? That will be YOUR opinion wouldn't? JS has his opinion. I don't feel his opinion is right either.

Nobody is comparing them right just keep bringing them up in almost EVERY thread. RC and Jeremy are retired. They are not now the most dominant in the sport nor where they when this was filmed. At THAT time he was the most dominant.

Hate to burst your bubble, but at that time JS was the most dominant in sports. He didn't say ever, Michael Smith asked him present tense. Both RC and MC were retired. Nice try though.
